trust me, at the end of the day, I could care less about Georgia or Alabama, I'm just saying (and I'm sure many around Chattanooga would agree) that a true Chattanooga AREA poll has to include Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama..I love Tenessee High School Football, it's where I played, its where my friends play..

The intellegent conversation was about some schools actually being in the Chattanooga area. rhino and myself were not shilling for either state, however those 2 schools are the top 2 in the Chattanooga Times/Free-Press weekly poll. Calm down just a little and enjoy, dont get so worked up over something as trivial as what is posted on this board.

why would South Pittsburg be over Boyd? Only thing they have on Boyd is a record. Boyd played a team with a possible 3 1a Mr Football prospects, Blackburn, Owens, Schlappi. The team Boyd lost to was incredible. Who has South Pittsburg played who is better than East Ridge and Rhea County? Arguably Marion County? Boyd will see that South Pittsburg has a fault on their record after this friday since that seems to be the thing that is keeping them alive.

the times free press has ga and al teams in it so that ga and al people will buy their paper, thats it. its a tennessee poll, if its not in tennessee its not in this area. period. im not worked up, i just think its retarded that teams that never play chattanooga teams are in the same poll, you cant make a comparison of whos better than who when you never see them play each other or even related teams.

South Pittsburg may not beat Boyd, we will see on Friday, but they have beaten Grundy and I believe Grundy is much better than East Ridge, also I lelieve Marion is better than East Ridge. I don't know about Rhea , I haven't seen them play. South Pittsburg may not be better than some other teams but if you underestimate them you make a mistake. Just ask TPS in 1969 or Knox Powell in 1963 or Boyd in the playoffs about three years ago or, my point is that sometimes tradition can overcome a great deal, don't underestimate the orange and black..the dog howls....

well then don't call in a Chattanooga area poll, or even better, don't whine about something so insignificant. I'm sure there are people on here who actually do care. If you don't care and you think its retarded, then don't read it

I talked to an uncle and cousin that live's in Hamilton County just off Highway 58 in Harrison--about 2 miles from Chatt. Central High. From the impression that I get, to say Chattanooga area includes Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alambama. I have no problem discussing some of the Chattanooga's top teams using teams from other states--so be it if someone cries. To fix the situation, so no one cries this it a Tennessee website, why not call it The SOUTHEAST TENNESSEE TOP 15. It doesn't matter or make a difference to me, but.....

      From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated

      Plenty of time. The former coach was busy with family and disappeared all summer anyway. Obvious choice has the same family issues. First game is in March 2025.
