Obviously, you misunderstood the post. They had no flags what so ever against lexington. However, continued to throw cheap shot after cheap shot that never got called. If they weren't punished for it greeneville might got a tad upset as well.

I don't know what game you were watching but you are surely confused. Greeneville will mercy rule Lexington if they even get there. I hope we do play because it will be fun showing you who's team is garbage. If it makes you feel better you can have the number one spot, will just take it in the end. GO DEVIlS!!!!!!!

LHS. The reason you west guys get no respect is you play no defense. All we ever hear about is Liberty, or CC, or the Lex's running backs and how they are the next coming of Emmitt Smith. Same old song at ChattaGeorgia. Show me some 7 to 6 or like we had last week, 15 to 14 games, and I'll give you a nod. There are plenty of middle & east teams that will eat your lunch with their D's.

I think Lexington has had 1 game to give up more than 25 points. You'll argue these teams suck well, we can't help who we play. The 42 given up to Liberty was admittenly due to lack of preparation. It was fair week and the students were out of school on wednesday, thursday, and friday. A lot of the points scored by teams are on our 2nd team D. I'm no arguing that West D is better but it's here I assure you of that.

Haha, your ignorance entertains me. I never said that Lexington should be #1 in the state I think due to who Greeneville has played they deserve to be #1. You are single minded and assuring high school football wins that are months off. I never said Greeneville is garbage that was Triples. Idiot. :roflol:

Lexington plays in arguably the toughest 4A district in the state. Lexington, Chester County, Liberty are all legit programs and even South Side and Bolivar are talented. Greenville plays district games against subpar programs in which they can run up the score. The body of work Lexington has compiled this year should leave no doubt. Of course there is that weighted scale of East Tennessee bias that always seems to come into play. Everybody wants a shot at Lexington, but careful what you wish for East & Middle Tennessee. Many have tried, and all have failed to knock off the Tigers in 2011!

What is so funny is your calling out the 2010 DEFENDING State Champions! The 2009 Runner up. In 2008 they made it to the semi's and lost to Powerhouse Maryville...Greeneville was in the old 4a league and won numerous games and has now won i beleive 4 or 5 straight conference championships and consistantly makes deep deep runs in to the playoffs. Maybe that's why the devils are #1. I mean After you win a title and lose only aobut 4 players? ya the devils are the best until proven otherwise...

Trezevant had no flags in the semi finals, i think they had upwards of 11 in the championship, that sounds a little off to me, but hey obviously with me being from the west I don't know anything about football. So go ahead and all you eastern football fans go ahead and jump on the greeneville band wagon because your team is trash.

FUNNY THING I WAS LOOKING AT THE PAST STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS AND I AM HAVING A HARD TIME FINDING LEXINGTON'S NAME ANYWHERE IN THE FINALS LETS SEE 2010 GREENEVILLE STATE CHAMPS - 2009 RUNNER UP STATE CHAMPS - MADE PLAYOFFS 008 07 ETC.... LETS FACE IT WHEN U WIN SOMETHING U CAN BRING UNTIL U DO! BEST THING TO DO IS STAY ON THE SHORT BUS , CAUSE THATS ALL U WILL EVER BE ABLE TO RIDE!

BlackandGoldforLife, wow that's a long name. Was FUBAR already taken? Look B&G4L, that was a nice rant, but you E Tenn guys better buckle up for playoffs. West is coming and were taking your dreams and the trophy when we leave. So keep beating up on the little sisters of the poor and telling yourselves your good.

HEY BLACK AND GOLD U MUST HAVE GOT KICKED OUT OF Trezevant THASTS WHY U HAVE ALL THE HARD FEELINGS ! HE HE HA HA!

I guess news travels slow across the river. The T$$AA will shift the quads after week 10. In quad 3 you will have two teams, Trezevant & Lexington. All quad 4 teams are being combined with quads 1 & 2. Since Trezevant is ineligible, Lexington will play Lexington four times at home and if they find a way to win, advance to become the sacrificial lamb for the winner of middle/east quads.

So go listen to you some Elvis because after three tries they are finally going to get the Lex across the river. :roflolk:

SORRY FOR THE UPDATE BUT Trezevant IS INELIGABLE TO PLAY THIS YEAR IN THE POST SEASON DIDNT KNOW IF U SAW THERE ANTICS LAST YEAR AT STATE , THEY REALLY PUT ON A SHOW BEFORE THE GAME ALSO DOING BACKFLIPS AND EVERYTHING FOR THE FANS!

Ha, taking a jab at a high schooler, you're mature barb. :thumb:

I would take you through the situation but you're obviously on a 1 track mind so I would hate to confuse you. All I'm saying is if someone took cheap shots at me all night and I felt my ankle was in danger of serious injury I would have retaliated as well, The home town officials seemed to overlook at the cheap shots taken that night.

I'm pretty sure there are no hometown officials in the semis but nice try...

Terrible post:

1. Polls mean nothing. December means everything.

2. Greeneville is the defending champ. To be the best you beat the best. See #1.

3. Bolivar and Southside are not good teams. If you had said anything good about Chester County preseason most people would have laughed.

4. Greenville versus Alcoa. Enough said.

5. East Tennessee bias. Count the gold balls. Blount County has enough for all your side of the river.

Hope this is settled in December if mighty Lexington can make it past Chester County in the semis.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
