Tomorrow afternoon, Sectional play will finish the Pre State tournament qualifying. Regional, One Night was a success in most areas with good crowds. It is the last time that local play thru the state is offered before The Tennessee State Tournament in Murfreesboro. After Thursdays event, this site and mainly newspapers will capsulize the event so one might keep up with the schedules.

The Ooltewah/Siegel matchup in sectionals does go back a number of years. Ooltewah still has the same coach, a great lady, and the same way of coaching and being concerned about her players and fans. That is a tradition and a thread that goes on thru this site no matter the year nor the generations that keep up with the sport. Siegel is the same though some of the faces have changed. We wind up in Siegels gym with matches that fans and Officials talk about years later. So is the talk now about the match some 4-5 years ago when reminising when this match was evidently going to happen as a sectional and as much as that match is talked about now and the people involved, this one evidently will be the same. Ooltewah and Siegel are friendly competitors but on the court it is a hard fought contest. Siegel welcomes the Ooltewah contingent with its more than knowledgable fans and this will be another one of those matches to talk about I am sure.

The Ads are in after a gritty 3 set sweep of Morristown West.

Farragut takes a 52-4 season record to Murfreesboro.

How can that be? K2ruth said you Farragut would never make it. I thought his/her words were always true.

Congratulations on a good year.

    • Hope the catcher on baseball team come back out and play's football . He didn't play last year if I remember but I don't remember much after that wreck anyways.. But he did play his freshman and soph years and I thought was a very good player. He's put on some size now, so I'm hoping he's thinking about playing again..
    • Pirates are young this year.  Gordy can sleep on them.
    • They’ll get it worked out eventually.Farragut is too good of a program to be down for long. As an OR fan, I can’t really say I’m too distraught about it though.
    • I didn’t even see that until you said something, but I don’t think it’s that bad. Yes, the coaches can’t get along with each other. But I don’t think they’re openly taking shots at each other right in front of the parents. If they are, that’s pitiful though, that’s really pitiful. I sure hope they’re not, but yeah, I’ve heard the same thing from players over at Farragut getting fed up, and I feel as though what the coaching staff has been trying to keep under the prying eyes of the parents is now out on full display.
    • and there is definitely a reason for that—more than just Catholic recruiting.
