follower93....I have said it once, I will say it again-McEwen won't beat Perry County-the guards at McEwen arent good enough, and with ya'll having trouble with Summertown last year in the open cout, you sure don't want any of PC

Are you refering to the depth of our guard play? If so, then I'll agree with that, but our starting PG and our 2guard will match up just fine. Garrett Mullinicks is a great PG that could easily win Region MVP this year. Our 2guard is long and athletic and is a defensive specialist. He doesn't look to score that often but that's only because it isn't typically needed. McEwen's only problem, and it is a major problem, is depth at the guard position. They have a starting 5 that can match up well with pretty much anyone. It will all come down to how much the team as a whole improves. They might not beat Perry Co, but I dont know how you can say they CAN'T.

I wasnt impressed with their on the ball defense vs Summertown, nor their ability to defend in the open court....they also lack the speed to run with PC

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
