Signal Mtn vs Knox Grace

Since these two really good teams are banned from the playoffs, is there anyway they could meet in a bowl game? I had seen this on a 1A thread and Knox Grace played in a bowl game last year. I wonder if the TSSAA would even allow it, but it certainly would attract a huge crowd and would be a great game.

What, you want to have a banned-from-post-season bowl and not invite Trezevant?

I don't think Trezevant travels well and wouldn't bring many fans. The reason they are banned is completely different. I was in Cookeville and saw Trezevant play and you don't want them involved. I don't know about this years team, but last year in Cookeville they exhibited very poor sportsmanship. Finley Stadium would be a great place to play this game between Signal Mtn and Knox Grace

pretty sure that the TSSAA will only allow teams who are .500 or better, who did not qualify for playoffs to play in a bowl game. I know Grace played Rhea County last year, not for sure about Rhea County's record but pretty sure they had to be 5-5 or better to play postseason bowl game...

How many games did Signal have to FF? would that put them at the 5-5 record?

side note funny that the TSSAA requires a team be 5-5 or better when they have teams playing in the playoffs at 3-7 or 4-6!

Funny you should mention it, Binns. I been thinkin' real hard on this one.

Have it at Maryville College.

Call it the Cheaters' Bowl.

Bonfire and free beer afore the game.

At halftime, that Childress man and both the coaches can have a poll measurin' contest. The winner keeps the entire gate.

After that, the mascots can play a game of capture the flag and have a spearin' contest.

Rules:

There ain't none.

All players required to cuss, spit, and piss on the chaingang.

First half, Knox Grace plays starters and Signal plays subs.

Flip it in the second half. Put extra digits on the scoreboard,

and whoever runs up the score the most wins.

What cha think?
