There is nothing wrong with what is going on. You guys just keep on bashing, it really doesn't matter to us anymore. As long as we play (and beat) Division I teams, this will continue, and we know that. Bash away, I'm reading it with a smile on my face, I can assure you of that. As much as you and others on here want to get under our skin, it's not going to happen. We've moved past that.

I'm sorry, I don't know who your high school team of choice is, care to let me know? Thank you.

The following is an excerpt from one of your previous posts:

"Yes, we sang the song, yes, we sang it on your field. No Greenback players were around, no Greenback fans were around. So, there was no lack of class. A classless act would have been if the players sang the song while they went thru the line after the game."

To me that statement says that if GCA had sang their little song with GHS players / fans present THEN it would have been a classless act but not so since they were not present. Well I present these questions. Is a classless act not a sign of low moral character? If you consider something classless or lacking in character if someone is within earshot is it not still classless or lacking character to do the same thing when someone is not there to hear or see it? My issue is not & has not ever been with the players of GCA. They are young men that are trying to find their way to adulthood just like every other teenager at whatever high school in any town, city, county, state, or even country for that matter. My issue IS & WILL continue to be with some of the administration, some of the parents, & some of the coaches. I say some because I'm sure not everyone affiliated with GCA is responsible or even knowledgeable of the occurrences that have & continue to go on behind the scenes. The players are really getting short changed by a bunch of greedy snake oil salesmen. Their ADULTS are letting these kids down. Help a kid cheat & he's a cheater for a day, Teach a kid to cheat & he's a cheater for a lifetime. . . that statement applies to a lot more than fish & fishing. These are very critical years in developing boys into men, husbands, & fathers. How they practice is how they'll play is relevant to more than football.

As for letting you in on my particular team of choice to follow. I appreciate your inquiry but will have to respectfully decline. I am a fan of all football but I am passionate about HS football. Sometimes that passion tends to lead me to say things, that while true & factual, tend to make people upset with me & looking for "pay back" if you will. On internet message boards that tends to manifest itself as attacking an entire program because someone disagreed with an individual. That is attention I choose not to bring to "my school".

I haven't read all the post on here, so pardon me if this question has done been asked, but will this surface require different cleats than real grass?

I'm not sure exactly what type of surface they are putting in but it shouldn't. The "old stuff" did require a different cleat & some actually tried tennis shoes back in the day. The newer "field turf" is more like a natural surface, I have heard several players say that a shorter tap helps the slipping they had with longer taps however I have also had players tell me that the longer ones work better than the short ones. I personally think the slipping issue has more to do with whats between their ears than on their feet.

Pot calling the kettle black. Keep bashing, just do it in shorter posts, that last one was too long.

I can say that we are happy with where our program is, happy with where its heading, and most of all, happy with the leadership that is in place.

Still waiting on your school of choice, pretty cowardly of you to hide that information when you choose to bash our program. I'm not saying I want to bash your school, just like to know who we're dealing with.

Pot calling kettle black? Well not really, I clearly stated I did not have a problem with the program as a whole just SOME of the coaches, fans, & admin.

Shorter posts, what's wrong? Does all that thinking make your peanut hurt? If it's to long to read then just skip it & move on.

If you're happy with it then great. I am willing to admit it is possible that I am wrong about GCA, given the history of infractions I don't think I am but I could be. Are you willing to admit it is possible I could be right?

Cowardly, well that is your opinion & you are entitled to it. It is also your right as an American to express it freely. Many fine young men have fought & died for the right for us to be able to do so.

Knowing who you're dealing with, well I doubt it. The school I follow has never met & will probably never meet GCA, even though it is a stretch to call it "my school". They are a team I watch & keep up with regularly but neither myself nor my children went there or even in the great state of Tennessee for that matter. I do try to catch them 2-3 time a season in person. I did see GCA twice this season. When I review the schedule & see what games I may attend next season maybe we could exchange emails & set up a meeting at the game. We could talk football or you could try that "cowardly" comment on for size again, your choice. I'm sure I'd really enjoy either conversation. :thumb:

Sorry if this one was to long for you, maybe some Tylenol will help you concentrate through the pain :roflol:

BTW pride, you didn't address the questions in my post. Any thoughts on them?

It will be a long time before Greenback beats GCA again. I know you guys have a good team coming back next year, but GCA will be improved as well. You come on up to our plastic field next year. I'm certain you will have a long ride back home.

Your comments about the song and my beliefs are not relevant. I never said I agreed with the song or disagreed with the song. Go back and read what I said. You guys are taking this way too far. Nobody is implying that God is showing favor over one group or another and its not blasphemy.

That's funny. I talked to coach Minga, and he said that they are really concerned with the team next year, because they are losing so many seniors, especially on offense. he told me that mckamey is the only real returning player on offense. I'm glad the fans know the football coaches and administration WORK HARD toget the best tallent needed.

Ask and ye shall receive. They'll bring in the needed talent to make up for the kids they lose. May have to hire some new coaches or help a needy kid or 2 out,but where's theres a will ,theres a way.

I think Grace is going to enjoy the new turf until the teams with more talent get to enjoy it more... I think that certain conditions helped Grace win a couple games last year that they wouldn't have normally. The field conditions that hampered South Pitt and CAK last year won't be an issue on the new field. Turf field even with class of '12 seniors does not equal a perfect* season

Never fear. GCA throws money out there and I bet you they will have many transfers coming in to repleace the transfers that have graduated.
