As #22's father I say thanks. It was a heartbreaking loss and my son's last high school game. However he does get 1 more shot on the high school grid iron when he plays in the Liberty Bowl All-Star game at MUS on Dec. 10.

 

22 gashed us a few times. I'm glad he didn't get the ball more.

We heard that soooo many times when WS played Brentwood, then Maryville in 2009 on the way to the Gold Ball. And that year, Riverdale played Maryville in the opposite semi-final game....everyone figured the winner of that game had the championship locked up.

 

We had the typical problems...turnover potential and too many careless penalties. But, our team speed was simply too much for the middle and east teams to overcome. I know the history....usually it's a Nashville area team...just saying, don't assume Whitehaven, or WS for that matter, couldn't get it done this year. That's why they play the games....

 

I watched the whole game between you guys and Maryville. Juilan Burton looked like Bo Jackson/Deion Sanders in that game. 'Red' Hayes looked like Tim Tebow!!! However I heard that most of the Rebels that are seniors now were Sophs on that team! Scary

I just speak the truth. I have my opinion and after watching WH play they didn't impress me on Offense. Yes they have a good D but mark my words they will not win the state. Yes the best defense in the Memphis area not the State. I would like to see a Memphis team win the state but I just dot see it happening this yr. To much talent in the east and middle of the state peaking compared to Memphis teams. Alot bigger and play just smarter ball than Memphis public teams.

atiger22, Tell Kramer I enjoyed calling his games on the broadcast all 4 years against us Bartlett. I have always enjoyed watching your son , He is a outstanding baseball and football player. Hope to see him do well in the allstar game and do well in his senior year of Baseball. Look forwarding to broadcast another good year of baseball with Arlington and Bartlett fighting who wins the district this year hopefully both of us can make it to state.

I would love to see a team from West Tn win state...but it does show a little something when Arlingtons first loss was to a middle tn team who is, I think 6-5 (Oakland). I hope Whitehaven or Whitestation represents!!

Arlington lost to that team the first game of the season. I think that team would have its hands full against Arlington if that game was played today. I honestly believe the Gold ball can come to Memphis this year.
