CAN SOMEONE POST THE MONTGOMERY CENTRAL

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE ON HERE PLEASE

Creekwood vs Camden tonight at 7:30

Winner plays Cheatham Friday night at 5:30

Waverly vs Harpeth Friday at 8:30

Consolation game Saturday at 5:30

Championship game Saturday at 8:30

Loser of the Creekwood/Camden game is out. Everybody else is playing for region seeding.

Also jim314.com has every district tournament in the state listed. On the coacht home page there's a link to it. At least there is today. Jim does a really good job of keeping everything updated during the postseason.

The 5 remaining teams in this tournament all have the potential to get hot and win this thing. Cheatham County and Harpeth have the overall depth and athleticism, Camden and Waverly have each have 2 excellent perimeter players and good supporting casts, Creek Wood has a solid point guard and a good duo inside.

Montgomery Central surprised me with their toughness to hang around with Waverly the other night. Their inside guys (especially Burney) played well but their guards just could not handle the rock when it counted the most.

Stewart County just couldn't have realistically matched up with Harpeth athletically or in terms of depth. That was simply a bad matchup and I am sure Harpeth's coaches were ecstatic to have been playing SC instead of MC.

Camden 82

Creek Wood 56

FINAL

Culp had 29 for Camden in the win. Camden and Cheatham Tomorrow Night

Creek Wood had a good season and the 4 seniors will be missed. They have represented there school and families in a positive way. Creek Woods season did not end the way they had hoped, but they did play some very good ball at times this year. They were better at the end of the season than what most people expected and lsst nights game definitely did not show that. All credit goes to Camden. Good luck to you guys. Creek Wood will be back next year. They return 3 starters. In alot of games they were the 3 top scorers. Good luck to everyone left in the tournament. Go out and represent district 11 AA well in the region.

I hope that those Harpeth fans who have been hating on Cheatham County Basketball (and Jake Saunders in particular) show up tomorrow night.

It's time (ONCE AND FOR ALL....) for Harpeth to "put up or shut up" in what promises to be a heated basketball contest tomorrow night.

Harpeth has been OWNED this 2011-2012 school year by the Cheatham County Cubs. The football game was a total mismatch. The basketball games have been contested but won by Cheatham County late. The last win saw the Cubs pull away for a convincing 15 point win on Homecoming at Harpeth High School.

It's like T.O. said "you'd better get your popcorn ready" :popcorneater:

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
