Congrats to Lebanon on a very good season.  Kobe Neuble and Tay Jackson will be tough to replace but Lebanon has a lot of good pieces back next year.  Need a point guard, another big, and just better depth all around.  They only played seven guys and five of those return next year.

As far as region Champ game goes, I'll stay with SC until MJ proves they can get over the hump.

In substate I'll say Hillsboro at Station Camp and MJ at Independence with Station Camp and Independence moving on to the Boro.

Station camp will be looking ahead. It very difficult to beat a great team like mj 4 times. Mj is on a up swing. Please come support mj.

Station Camp is looking to crush Mt. Juliet one more time. It's fun watching the Bears look like they know they have zero chance.

MJ is hardly a "great team". You have glaring weaknesses. And yes I have seen you play from November to now. However, you have won the games you have needed to and that is all that matters. Troy has done a great job. He has definitely maxed out your potential.

The bottom line is the district is as weak as I have ever seen it. Beech and Hendersonville were WAY down. Gallatin has not been a factor in several years. Portland.............well come on. Lebanon had their best team in years, but still was hardly a threat in AAA.

Both teams need to win and avoid Independence. Both teams can beat Hillsboro.

With that being said, Station Camp has the individual talent to win, but they are lazy. Reed takes plays off constantly. He could be dominant, but chooses to drift in and out. That is why Alcorn was the best he could do. The rest only play hard in spurts. That is why a team like Cane Ridge beat them so easily. No team in the state has underachieved like Station Camp the last few years.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
