Wc will be last. Bond quit on them because wc is a baseball community. I hope Lebanon keeps getting moral victories over station camp. I talked to a Gallatin students other day and they said Gallatin is running the ball and shooting 3's this year. They are playing 5 guards. Who is wc best players. They really need your son who will help. Trebs get ready to get trounced in basketball. Trebs station camp will beat all Wilson county teams.

Someone told me that the big kid from SC has transferred again?

If true

MJ

SC

Lebanon

Hendersonville

Gallatin

WC

Beech

Portland

I have not watched any of the games the last year for a couple reasons. First of all my son has set out the last two years and this district is really bad basketball. It pains me to even watch what they call high school basketball here in middle TN.

Anderton (one big kid) graduated last year. Reed (another big kid) is still there and is a senior this year.

What has happened to Beech? Why are they picked so low. and why is MJ picked high. They had a good run late but I thought they lost everyone.

I think Beech's best player transfered to Station Camp.  There is just something wrong with letting a player transfer to a school 6 miles away and not have to sit out a year.

MJ returns just about everyone.

why did he leave the beach. Because he knows station campis the best . Plus we have better lunch and basketball goals. Talking to a friend still in high school. He said he stopped by gym after school and was hysterical about players working hard and looking twice as good.

I am not a Station Camp hater. I am an ignorance hater.

I have no idea what Gallatin has returning. I do know that Bobby Luna is a very good coach that is always well prepared.

As your boy Massey has figured out, talent wins. That being said,  I have seen very talented teams that could not win the big game simply because their coach was lacking or he was afraid to make one of his prima donnas mad.  I have also seen lesser talented teams overachieve due to their coaching. As a matter of fact, District 9AAA last year was that in a nutshell.

To me the district as a whole is WAY down compared to years past. I am shocked at how far Central has fallen in two years. TB made a good move for sure.

Knowing most all of the district coaches I am sure they are all working hard to improve. However, the old adage that you cannot make chicken salad out of chicken sh** applies here.

How do you like carrying SEC bags this year?

I see all this praise for Troy Bond when he won but no one wants to hold him at fault for the last year. This mess at Wilson Central is 100% his fault. He wanted out before last year but couldn't find the right place. He never coached the senior class from last year or this year. That why there were 7 juniors and seniors that left the team last year. I could go on and on about why WC is where they are right now but I will just say they have some very good young players and they will be back.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
