I'm over here at Clemson watching nationally ranked Gafney lose to Jo Byrnes with my laptop watching the Greeneville game and keeping an eye on Coacht with my phone. These people here think I'm crazy.

your worldwide girl! and by the way, that clemson campus is special!

I knew after seeing Greeneville lose, but play very well against Giles County two years ago they'd be tough for two more years. The difference was at the line of scrimmage, and Maplewood's lack of poise and composure. The Panthers just choked. Great year, but they fell apart in the finals. Congrats to both teams for a great season, and Greeneville for bringing home the Gold Ball. Next year the Mustangs of DL should be back in the hunt! Go Mustangs!!

Great job Devils!!! Congrats on another Gold Ball. :thumb:

The Wood couldn't handle the pressure of the big stage. I really thought they would be more disciplined that they were. I still can't figure why you line the tail back up 10 yards deep when you are facing a good D-line. The 1st quarter the holes were there quick but no way a back can get to them from the punt return area.

Great coaching job by the Greeneville staff. We'll see you guys soon......

Good game greeneville Congrats!!!! - clearly not one of the panthers best showings....still proud of my panthers ....we will be back

Thanks boski for giving me the best seat in the house! Just got back home to Greeneville. My wife is a Clemson fan and she wanted to catch the second half of that game. The Devils had total domination on both sides of the ball. I must say your band had heart, they played to the final horn. Bet those dancers are tired! Boski, YOU are still the "KING of SMACK". Congrats on another good season!

    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
    • Robbed you guy at a chance of 3 state championships. You never kne, sond best team in the west my have beat you also, but you sure deserved the chance to play um.
    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
