9A vs 10A

With the McEwen "upset" of HC, it is intriguing to me that HC, MC, and Cascade are all in the same bracket-obviously the stronger side of the region-and 2 of those will be done....meanwhile, over in 6A, looks like Stown will have to beat WC in the semis to find either Cwood or Cornersville

Wasn't really an upset. HC only beat McEwen by 5 the two times they played before. Close games every time they played with both teams getting a lead at some point. McEwen just decided it was their time to win. I think HC will get to play Moore County in the second round but idk about the outcome. Then again, as said before, Cascade did only lose by 1 to Moore County. Never know what to expect come tournaments. Anything can happen.

Exactly right. Also, don't forget that Community beat the two seed in the 9A tournament as well...both times in the regular season, Forrest beat Community by six points. Then, Community returned the favor with a 36-30 win in the first round. Just because you're a higher seed in the post season doesn't necessarily mean you're guaranteed to win. It's a funny time of year...strange things tend to happen.

Can't wait for the games to begin, just wish they were all at one site like it used to be. T$$AA ruined Regional play when they went to the two game limit on school nights. Seems kind of hypocritical that the T$$AA lets game be played during school hours but don't won't to keep the kids out too late. LOL $$$

    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
