I guess about as upset as you get you Tucker doesn't get anything..... but it's funny that you bring that up because that's the only thing you think to say to justify yourself because you know I'm right about Perry County ppl always cryin about how their done wrong. Also, you call yourself a guru? "Oh there is just no way Perry County can be beat....no way.....shut up Jay. Why do you pick against them for Jay? Perry County is unbeatable. PC's startin five will score 100 points a piece....mark it down. Tucker and Rhodes will put up 60 alone." The fact is, Sportsfan makes better unbiased predictions than you do!!!!

If your going to quote me at least try to be close to right. I've never said we were unbeatable. If they were we'd be 31-0 right now instead of 27-4. As far as who I pick to win Yes its always PC cause I know they have the ability to beat any team at anytime. And as far as predictions mine were closer than Jays both nights. Edited by theGURU

i had us winning by 17 and we won by 15, so i was pretty close on how much we would win by but as far as the numbers you got me beat...me(77-60)...you(72-61)

Why dont we figure who was closer on the mTp outcome then figure the two together? But I think you know who would be closer.

Vikings walk away with a 15 point win. But im extremely pissed about the lack of All Region Players PC got. Seriously Region Champs and only 2 All Region players? Runner Up gets 3 and WC gets 2 as well.

I say BS.

The odds are against you when their 2 or 3 teames in the same county voting against you.

Been watching this for 20+ years. There has always been and will always be disparity in the selection of all tourney teams. Move on. Cwood's youth really came out last night. Perry Co. is undeniably the best team in the region. As long as Cwood is in the fight they are my favorite to win it all. But if/when they get sent home I hope Perry co can bring it back to our district.

Now I hate to b harsh but Guru, Sportsfan, and chemtrail- dudes yall really should focus on getting a life outside of these sports. Maybe u should join the armed forces or something. Anything to get out and see the bigger picture. :flower:

The girls all tournament team was the same way. There were girls that were selected that should not have made it. One example is Summertown. They had four. Should have had two for sure with a third questionable. If coaches are looking at box scores there is no way Grooms should have been selected. Not sure what she had in the first round game, but I believe she scored 1 point in the semefinals and 1 point in the championship game. How is this justified? It was the same way in the selection of district players for the boys and girls. No way some of those players should have made it. Summertown girls with 5? No way. Things like this happens with a system in which teams get a set number of players selected based on where the team finishes in the regular season. The top team gets 3 or 4, not sure. So how did Summertown end up with 5? To me the purpose of selecting teams of this nature should be to select your 10 or 12 best players overall, regardless of which teams they come from. If a team gets left out, tough. We live in a society where a lot of people expect things to be given to them without doing anything to earn it. Pick your best players and if you make another coach or team mad don't lose any sleep over it, but pick the kids that deserve it.

Really????? You make a valid point, but it is what it is...To harp on summertown is a little harsh, they have been through alot this year and to step up in the manner they did is outstanding...Grooms is a very good defensive player and that is what gets her notice within the district, as for the all region team, I think Stown did deserv 4 (Franklin, Kilburn, Morgan Long were shoe-ins and Grooms for her defense)...on the district teams, They put the entire starting 5 for summertown because of the way they stepped up after they lost a teammate through the summer, lost their starting pg during the season to a knee injury and their level of play never dropped off, they should have been rewarded for that performance

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
