How does the district look to shape out this year?

Any guesses on rankings at the end of the district season?

No doubt that MJ is head and shoulders ahead of the rest of the pack!

Their pitching staff should take them back to the Sub-state and more than likely beyond.

Wilson Central has 12 seniors. All position players are power hitters. They will be a huge run producer this year. Watching them take bp, even with the new bats, you would never notice they had different bats. Even the 9th and 10th hitters are giving the fence a beating.

They also have a great pitching staff. A lefty with great control and pretty good speed for a left hander. Several righties with great control, they also have a handful of FRESHMAN who could be most teams number 2 at the least.

MJ pitching is deep deep deep..... should be fun to watch... honestly they have soph's that would be in your varisty rotation.

WC's pitching is HIGHLY overlooked this year. And it'll be an even better match up between them and mj because they are at the end of the schedule. Gonna be a great year for baseball, definitely

1.Mt Juliet

2.Station Camp

3.Wilson Central

4.Beech

5.Lebanon

6.Hendersonville

7.Gallatin

8.Portland

honestly, put the bottom six in a hat and draw them out.

Agree, but according to the wilson county side, we don't deserve to show up. Had a son play at Beech way back when, and have watched this district grow and change. Watch out for newcomers, they almost got you last year.

Pitching and defence will be the keys, all top 3 have it, should be interesting. Good luck to all.

Good to see you're still wishy-washy on Leb. & WC. So much gap, why show up. Can't wait to see the mighty beeaarrs stumble, 'cuz guys like you.

It's just an opinion, because I didn't pick your team as high as you wanted, you are rooting for MJ to lose, there's a difference bewteen rooting for your team to win and rooting for another team to lose.

Most folks on this board would agree MJ is the favorite, however for your benifit lets look at the record....

AAA State Runner-Up – 1983, 2009

AAA State Tournament – 1983, 2003, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011

AAA Sectional – 1983, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011

Tell me why MJ would not be considered the pre-season favorite? They have won the sectional not only the district but the sectional 7 out of the last 9 years .....after this year maybe 8 out of the last 10 years? come on ......

    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
