Best Team in the State

Ok we're all halfway through the season. From what you've seen, who's the best team in the state and what makes you think so?

I'll take the bait and throw a team out there...

 

Davidson Academy!

 

Why? It's simple. They're beating boro prospects! The proof is on the scoreboard.

They'll be in the mix along with Beech, MJ, Lincoln County, Soddy, etc. I like Davidson's chances this year in their bracket because they have all the pieces plus pitching to spare. A fresh pitcher is a strong recipe for success. And no my daughter does not attend DA.

Well after hearing Goodpasture beat Riverdale in the Raptor classic and Davidson was put out by Ravenwood I would say you couldn't rule them out. I believe DA wins single A state championship though. And everyone thought Goodpasture was going to have a rough year after losing 5 seniors who signed D1 scholarships.

In AAA Beech & Soddy, but it's going to come down to the last few games of the year at the "Boro" before its settled between these two teams & I'm sure the umpires will play their part just like they did last year. Both teams are playin real good right now. Riverdale is pretty much out of contention after them Lady Buc's took'em to the wood shed yesterday.....

Riverside will be the best team in single A again this year. Lot's of great talent on this team led by one of the best pitchers in the state.

Sorry about that chief I do stand corrected DIV 2A Davidson Academy and Riverside A. I say Beech right now is the best over all team in the state

Beech, just because SD is not doing well offensively as in some years right now at least. If they get 2 or 3 runs that's usually more than enough.
