KermitDeeFrog
Wow no respect I just dont think they should have set by the statue there was plenty of grass for them to sit on the other teams didnt have a problem with that. I guess you'll defend them to the end. It isn't that big a deal I just think they should appologize. Guess people in Union City will just rest wherever. The kids after the game when I was a kid & I did something like that my bottom would be red, guess people just dont know how to respecy property at all these days. Also we dont mind people being around it but it made a few people mad that they were sitting on the base of it during the football game. I am surprised people are ok with it but our morals have went downhill I dont hold that much a grudge. Good luck this season & I'll be nice enough to appologize for hurting your feelings BigSwo & Atlas. Just my opinion. I dont think the mustang footballs players will sit on any statues in Union City during Week 3 if you got any. Big Swo I dont hold that much of a grudge, too much football, we can just agree to disagree. & I wasn't being sarcastic with my apology I just dont think they should have done that, I didnt wanna make everyone mad. You can say whatever else you want about it if you want. I am done talking bout it its time to talk about week 0. If you wanna talk more about it call me out on it when Huntingdon plays Union City in week 3. You asked me to get over it and I did. I still think its disrespectful but you dont and thats your opinion. As long as they are not playing Huntingdon I will root for Union City some I follow High School football a lot. Good luck again Obion County, I think you will win that game. Have heard good things about Union City this season, soon we will know if it is all true. BigSwo
Football season is my favorite time of the year. The atmosphere is rich with anticipation as the fans start filling the parking lot. The tailgating, the grill smoke, the smell of paint on fresh cut grass, then the rythmic beating of that snare and bass drum as the band arrives. Next comes the innvocation and the National Antheme after that the coin toss then they start that Tornado Warning Siren, Its time.

MisterObjective
A little bit of armchair coaching. What's it going to take to right this ship? There's way to much speed and talent on this team to be playing this kind of football. The defense appears to be trying to decide if they are doing the right assignments instead of tackling the guy with the football. Why don't they stick more guys on the front line and say go get 'em. We haven't been very successful defending the pass over the past few years so it can't be much worse if we play just run defense. Actually I don't quite understand why we can't play pass defense better with all the speed that we have in the secondary. Offensively it seems that turnovers have been our Achilles' heel. Maybe a little more practice on how we tuck the ball. I like the veer, but let's veer toward the side of the ball with the least number of defenders, maybe let the qb keep it more often, or maybe let the qb audible every now and then if he sees that a play isn't going to work. Whatever it is, it does appear some kind of adjustments need to be made. I will say that we have tendencies to pick up steam in the second half of the season. MrO I dont know any other way to put it except this. Our defense needs a heart. A desire to conquer . We need a defensive leader who says "Im tired of getting the ball crammed down my throat" Thats what needs t rise up in this group. As far as turnovers are concerned I would just say if you fumble the bal you sit down.
