Baseball Showcase camp

How can a head coach of a local HS have a showcase camp at his school; and not notify any of his players to come out? Please someone help me understand??

Maybe he doesn't feel like any of his players talents are worthy of being showcased. Remember... you asked. I have no idea what showcase or high school coach you are referring to.

Most definitely agree with that... been to too many where you shake your head and wonder. Great to have the effort, but a real waste of time when RF can't get a throw past 2b for RF-3b drill. Coaches don't always want their own to know and then slow up process with real talent. Have seen ours handpick those to attend, based on need and ability to be showcased.

I understand what you are saying and agree, if that were the case; but that is NOT the case here. We started 7-8 sophomores last year and finished second in our district. Next year they will be all Jr. There is talent on this team,The only two that showed up from this school found out from their travel teams coach, this should have been about the players....

It is, but you know, it really doesnt matter what district your in. The coach should have enough respect for his players and program to invite his players to their field. how hard is it to communicate via email to your players? ....Thats it! a simple email, if you respect your players and program. enough said!

The message he did send to his kids and parents will hurt that program....too bad. I can't imagine hosting a showcase and not wanting to give the kids in your program the experience.

• Its a shame, because this is a great bunch of young men, that has to put up with a coach that doesnt respect or realize the talent he has. Everyone of these guys have played travel ball with or against each other since they were 8 or 9....This coach only looks out for himself....if we were to confront him your kid would be the one to suffer

Your option is to go to the administration, but also may come back to bite you if they back his arrogance and stupidity. Luckily never had to deal with that side. When a coach puts himself above the program, you're doomed.
