FightinIllini has drank too much Tullahoma kool-aid!!! His younger brother has way more talent ,but has a bigger ego trip.

You do not know how this stuff works do you? Any HS kid throwing 98 will be drafted and drafted high, yea maybe he has control issues from time to time, but I assure you the minor league pitching coaches will correct that.

I guess you have not heard of what player development is/means huh?

Lastly, just about any high school pitcher can get to 84-85 but to throw high 90's is a totally different level.....

BTW I'm a MJHS fan... not Tullahoma....

My kids play the Sheffields at least twice a year too. Sometimes as much as 5 or six times. Have to say both are very talented and are definate high D1 and draftable players. As far as attiudes (ego) I have not seen a problem and my kids say they are both good kids. Some people mistake confidence with an attitude (ego) issue. If I had their talent I would be confident too! Just for the record the Wildcat in my name has nothing to do with Tullahoma.

As far as SS goes Dale Burdick is definitely one of the better ones I have seen in the Mid-State area.

Hey redsman what do you think about the kid from Mccallie from a scouting pov, heard he is getting some d1 interest. I think the kid was injured during football , i do not know the extent of the injury. I think he was the 3rd leading receiver in d2 football this year .iust a real tough and athletic kid. Just wondering if any of thes other ss play football.

    • I think Alcoa and Westview are favorites in top bracket and Huntingdon and Meigs in bottom bracket.  Westview and Huntingdon both have great pitching.  I think Huntingdon has more offense than Westview.
    • Starting to pick up for Sam. He has 4 or 5 offers now and more on the way. By mid season the Warriors should have 5 or 6 kids with offers.
    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
