Kingston played hard early but it all fell apart midway in the first.A Alcoa player German suplexed the Kingston rb injuring I believe his shoulder. No flag, not sure if there should have been.Football is a tough sport and the kids dad was letting the refs have it.He jumped the fence and was on the sideline and got a 15 yard flag. The refs requested he get escorted out.Later I seen 1 and heard of another fan letting the police have it.The elderly gentleman I seen was escorted out but didn't see the other.I don't know what happened with the last 2 fans who got kicked out.The officer told me the first guy out was told by the refs to leave after her verbally abused and threatened them.A wild night.Alcoa will go far and Kingston is a good team who ran into a buzz saw.Fans were always awesome on both sides, the band bbq was awesome and both bands were great!! Hadn't witnessed a crazy scene like this in a long while. Good luck to both the rest of the year!

As long as it's before the whistle has blown then its fair game (unless there's something in TSSAA rule book that I dont know about). I can see being upset over a play though but to actually jump the fence and try to get on the field to either physically harm an official or a young adult shows a lot of irresponsibility. Not only that, if he would have gotten to the player, #57 would have probably suplexed him too...Gotta know where to pick your fights LOL

Overall, it was another route by Alcoa. Another game honestly not worth my $6 but I dont mind supporting the program. I do enjoy watching Kingstons band though. Just wish they played better music.

I don't think the father was thrown out. He did get taken down past the end zone and I believe he was talking with cops and Kingston school administrators, but I saw him several times after the play. I don't know if he was as much going after anyone as much as possibly trying to get to his son who was body-slammed head-first on the field. When it first happened, I thought the kid might have suffered a neck injury because it was a viscious tackle. The flag wasn't against the fan though, it was against Kingston's coach for questioning the referee while he was on the field checking on the player.

I don't know any other fans. I did see the cops talking to one man, but I didn't pay attention to see what happened to him.

Where did I say I wasnt pleased with the play calling? I think you're just trying to reach for an argument. It would be very very very hard for anyone to convince me or anyone else that Alcoa plays a hard schedule. Every year we start the season with a good game (Maryville) and as of late end the season with a good game (CAK) but you're a fool if you think everything in between is entertaining. We play cupcakes. Maybe they're good teams for 2A/3A TSSAA football teams but they're still very very rarely even remotely on the same playing field with Alcoa. Scores like 42-7, 56-0, 51-0, 48-0.....They're snoozefests. Maryville games, until they moved up to 6A, were pretty much the same way. At least now they're somewhat competitive but still Alcoa and Maryville are still miles a head of 98% of the state when it comes to tallent. After 25 some odd years of beating up on the likes of Rockwood, Harriman, Scott, Kingston and Chuckey Joke....It gets repetitive and boring. I go to support the team and the players on it and to spend time with my friends but outside of Maryville and CAK games, I honestly cant remember the last time I was actually entertained by an Alcoa regular season game.

So what do you suggest we do about scheduling? When we can't get anyone to play us because larger schools don't want to play us and if I'm not mistaken the TSSAA puts us in our district we can only play the schedule that we are given. This is an old argument but until teams step up and play us I guess you will just be bored.

    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
    • They struggled to field a team last year. I don’t see them being much better?
