im sorry to hear that. i can see why it hits so close to home. No young child should ever experience that.

I should have been over it a long time ago. I think I have to look into the symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder. Anyway I'm gonna step back and if others wish to discuss it, so be it.

i dont care if it wasnt forceable. thats disgusting! Thats one thing i personally do not tolerate. i hope all three of.them get as much punishment.as they can.get. your.mind.seriously has to be screwed up to do that. call me.crazy but a 12 year old girl is way to.young.to.be physically attracted to.in.that manner.

Well here is the thing... He, the detective, said it was consensual (rootword: consent) He must be some hayseed cop who doesn't know sex with a minor cannot be consensual. Minors can't consent. The consent from a minor resides with the parents (which is to say to enter into contracts or legal agreements for employment and other such legal bindings). And I apologize for being so adamant but the mis-statment of the crime begins a process of termination of jeopardy. The detective was trying to say that there was no violence (that does not mean there was no [perceived] threat). A 12 yo is face with an opposing numerical superiority (and probably a hormonal overload). It wouldn't surprise me if she turned out to be kin to one of the kids.

She is not related to those involved.

I don't know this young #1 and have never seen him play. After seeing the news and reading these posts, I felt very bad for him (and all families involved). However, after taking 10 seconds to find his Twitter account and read how he communicates, I don't feel so bad for him any more. If guilty and locked up, he should fit right in. Many prayers to victim and her family.

MtP folks.....#53 MLB. Is he still playin or did he graduate? I still think that MtP wins the game. I havn't bought into Perry Co. just yet. They've beaten CA and Richland. Two teams that aren't playin very good right now. I'm sure their two wins have gave them a boost of confidence, but I still don't think it will be enough.

53 graduated last year

MTP Came To Mckenzie And Lost Because Marco Ran Outta Gas...The Next Week South Pitt Killed Us...I Wouldn't Wish that On Anybody but Ya'll...I Wished Ya'll Had Beaten Us...

I totally disagree with that. I carried two of the football players to that championship game. Both of them told me they were glad they lost to the Rebels.

    • Eagleville hosting shows laziness on the part of the TSSAA and a complete disregard for the appearance of impartiality. Absolutely nothing against EHS. Its not their fault TSSAA is lazy.    I understand EHS staff work the games at Eagleville, and they don’t want to miss the EHS games. However this isn’t rocket science. It would take less than 1 hour to cross-train EHS and RHS volunteers at the opposite sites. If Eagleville (or any host)  makes the tournament, flip their game site and have the volunteers flip sites for the days their school plays at the opposite site. Magically the school’s fans would be present to watch the their kids play and the kids at least lose some familiarity and home field advantage.  It takes almost no effort and is a ~15 minute extra drive.
    • We feel the pain!
    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
