They didn't impress me in the preseason. They have speed and lots of it, but they didn't play discipline ball. Of course I'm sure they could have gotten that straightened out this far into the season. They just threw deep balls against us and converted a few. I don't know anything about their injuries so they may have a few of those, who knows though. Good luck against them

Boys got to stay focused . Anyone know anything about Maplewood

Buc55,you said it.Boyd needs to play with the same intensity as they did against SP.

Maplewood is not nearly as good as years past.

They have a lefty QB I believe and a pretty good tall wideout.

Other than that they look average to me.

CPA handled them in all phases of the game.

Boyd should have no problem with them.

Just need to come out and play your game.

GO BUCS!!

I like that we are going to be tested here at the end of the season. These past 2 weeks will benefit us in the play offs. If our defense steps up and plays like last night, I like our chances in any game from here on out this season. I'm looking forward to Maplewood visiting The Swamp. Big win last night for us, but time to erase it, and focus on Maplewood.

This is Maplewood's last game of regular season I believe.

They are sitting at 5-4 record right now.

This is their 3rd straight road game.

Might be catching them at the right time of the season.

Gotta put the last game behind ya and work hard this week.

Come out focused and play the way Boyd is capable.

No mental mistakes..Bucs should take this one.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
