well I sure didn't expect this kind of hire, tip of the cap to LHS

problem with this is they obviously had his resume and didn't hire him on the spot. he will have to prove he can win in tn. ky puts an emphasis on hs basketball don't they? if memory serves me lebanon has hired a couple of coaches with ky ties before and they were 2 of the worst coaches record wise in school history. still state titles are state titles. best of luck. looks like the folks at least want to hire the right people.

He is an excellent coach. I grew up in KY and Danville always had one of the best programs in the state. KY is more known for high school football then it's high school basketball. Danville was always contending for the state title when they were not winning it. They were easily one of the top 5 programs in the state behind Trinity ( National Champions last year ) St Xavier in 6A , Highlands ( in 5A at the time; now 4 A ) and Danville in 4A.

Danville is 2A now and I think they have been 2A for a couple of years now.

Doyle, LHS Blue Devils are looking for sponsors. You think that your Construction company can pony up and help for Xmas?

Right now, DHC is only financially supporting one HS in Wilson County, I'm going to hold off on any donations to LHS until I see better results in the athletic arena, DHC only hitches its wagons to the top performing horses.

    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
