I'm sure they will find someone to fill the job. It's not like the typical offense for Huntingdon is that difficult to run. Follow the two huge guys to the end zone. lol

They may fill the position, but they won't replace the production of the last two qbs.

horse, you may be right but the last time we felt that way on our side of the creek (Drew Hayes graduated) along came a kid named Dereck Carr who led us to a state championship game. Started 3 seasons in college setting many records and is now trying out for NFL, CFL and Arena teams. Ya' just never know with these kids. Over time I recall a few kids from Huntingdon that showed up and could tote the rock pretty well. Terrance Bell maybe (loved watching him here at Bethel) or Reggie Gordon, going further back how 'bout Tim Priest (hardest to tackle QB I ever saw) or a fellow by the name of Larry Stewart JUST to name a few that came along and filled in the gaps.

Nowdays it's a bit different for H'town and Rebel nation. It's getting harder to keep the kids focused on football. Far too many diversions!!! Of late that has been a problem for both us and ya'll. Hopefully we'll all work out of it for the kids sakes.

Not taking much away from Drew Hayes because he is a great baseball player, but I always thought he was overrated. Not saying he wasnt good but I know some McKenzie people that said he was better than Derreck Carr & that makes me mad. I always thought Carr was a lot better at football and as a quarterback. One things for sure they are both better than the one playing now, that kid you got now has a arm on him but needs to work on his accuracy. Carr got to play against the Vols a few years ago, & I know it wasnt the best score but a small college like the one he played at doesnt have the talent a SEC team would have.

Anyway I think we will be a quarterfinal team at least again I could be wrong we still got some talent but lost a lot so some of this new blood has gotta step up.

    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
    • I've heard Powell from someone who talked to him. I saw the kid two days ago and I should of pulled over and talked with him and wished him well where ever he goes. It will be a ale of a loss for us because I don't believe we have anyone in the stable good as him from what I seen in the spring.
    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
    • Yeah. AC brass walked in to the building at Clinton and suggested that the principal start changing grades.  Honesty, the notion that anybody at AC was involved is just idiocy.  The ones who are hurt most are the kids who weren't involved in the cheating, but still are being penalized by college admission decisions and scholarship consideration simply because they went to a school that was involved in such a scandal.
