Foulball111
Who's got it this year? Franklin went to state last year while Brentwood went to sub-state. Will it look about the same this year or is someone else going to come in and take one of these two teams out?
ballbasher30
Brentwood will be the team to beat again. They pretty much have everyone back from a team that to most underachieved at the end of the year. They should have beat Overton, and their performance in the district tournament left a lot to be desired. I think the second spot is between Ravenwood and Centennial. Both have most of their teams coming back and should be a good battle for 2nd. I see Franklin struggling. They lost a lot and new coach coming in so it will be interesting to see how they take to the new coach and the new players they will have to use. Indy will struggle. They do not have much of anything coming back due to the last couple of years losing their young players to Summit. Their JV was aweful last year and their varsity was average at best. Do we even have to talk about Hillsboro? Although, I think they may break through with 2 district wins this year.
WillieD
I would never bet against Franklin! They lost all of their starting pitchers from last year, but their staff should be very underrated nd surprise people this year with Ryne "Watermelon" Key, Bradely "Nitro" Turner, and a young arm in Alex Paul. It will be there hitting though that'll lead them to the district title. Mcpeek, Raley, Bell, and Hutchins. I'm also very excited to see Josh Zarabi play this season in the outfield. Im also very excited to see how Ryan Sain leads their offense as the designated hitter. He hurt his arm in the offseason but should be bak mid season. Overall Franklin, though under a new coach and losing a lot of seniors from last year, will surprise people and end up winning the district. Then I believe Brentwood, with guys like Shelton leading their very talented pitching staff to make it pretty far this year after they returned a lot of juniors. Centennial should end up being third place with players like Bozeman and Brennan in their lineup. I would also like to mention Phillip "Bigleague" Bagsby to a guy to surprise in this district. Fourth will be Ravenwood with their studly player Bryce Denton who will probably end up getting drafted in the top 3 rounds of the MLB draft after his senior season. After that there is no point in talking about the remaining teams. Can't wait for this baseball to start!!
mikemexico615
From what I hear 3 teams could win it. BHS,RHS,CHS. BHS may have the best all around team. RHS may have a new player giving them 2 top pitchers CHS will have a mix of old and new players that can play.

macsus
Who are the top players in 11-AAA this season? Other than Shelton at Brentwood and Denton at Ravenwood.
playball2013
Bryan Reynolds at Brentwood, I believe he is the only signee with the SEC in the district - going to Vanderbilt
RebelCougar
Brentwood is garbage. Along with ravenwood and centennial. I predict it will be Franklin and Hillsboro in the championship. Look for Phillup Bagsby to lead centennial to the state championship. Incredible d1 athlete.
gamecockbaseball
I could see Franklin, Brentwood and the cougars battling it out. Brentwood is strong on pitching Franklin has some solid bats and defense. Cougars return a few strong players. Got to go with 1. Franklin 2. Brentwood 3. Centennial 4. Ravenwood 5. Independence 6. Hillsboro
MyHumbleOpinion
I'm guessing/hoping RebelCougar was being sarcastic. This will be Brentwood's year with everyone else fighting for 2nd (Just like football, basketball, vollyball, girls soccer, etc. this year). Brentwood's pitching is going to be absolutely ridiculous; They have somewhere between 8-11 pitchers on their staff. Their starting 3 (Shelton/Maher/Walker in no particular order) is going to be dirty, and the remaining 5-8 guys offer a wide variety of talents coming out of the bullpen in any situation. They've got a good mix of lefties and righties, they have guys that throw heat, and guys that throw junk. It's just going to be really hard for any team to score many runs against this staff. mikemexico615
A friend told me that CHS has some new kids 2 of them will start. Sanders is more than just a football player. I was told he shined at the camp at Belmont and would have started as a freshman. The other kid plays (OF) and will play at the next level. You add them to what is returning with 3rd and ss leading them. But I still give the edge to BHS
IndyEagle09
Congrats to the Independence Eagles on beating Franklin 4-1 last night to open up the district season. Coach Moore has the team looking good for a district run. Also, the Summit Spartans defeated the defending district champs, Marshall Co, 4-2 to open up their district slate. Remember the Spartans would be Eagles if not for the new school and currently they only have freshmen through juniors. They will be joining the district next year and I would think they would be the favorite to win it all.
