I promise i would not be talking state contender if all those things were true at central.....I know it takes a really good team tons of depth and lots of luck to win a state title.........

 

 

i am not going to get in a pissing match over it because Central was bad last year and i suspect will be bad again this year.

 

But Marion had a good year with a CAKE WALK schedule. they won a lot of good games but guess how many teams they beat with a winning record......1.......there opponents they beat were something like 27-57... and for that reason i would just let the season play out and not start talking smack in march about winning titles in Dec!!!!

Just for the record Marion went to the semis in 3a about 4 years ago .... Led Alcoa at half... I say that's doing something in the last 20 years

They won a couple state titles less than 20 years ago. Sounds like someone needs a math class. 1994-1995 was 18 and 19 years ago. Central will be more athletic than any team Marion faces. They just haven't put it together in a while.

Howard is more athletic than most teams they play. If it were a race Maryville might be in trouble. Winning high school football games is a lot more about coaching than having the most athletic team.

Word is the Brother Jon may be going home. If that pans out like some may think who would be some names who may be interested this late in the game?? Would Cook go with him or would he try and take over?

Did you get this firsthand from some Rhea Co folks or from John? I for one hate to see him go, especially this late in the game. ..Are your sources pretty reliable?

If John did leave I would just as soon like to see Carter/Cook take the reins. I know you need a HC but Carter runs a good Offense and Cook a good Defense. As far as one to be in charge I guess Cook maybe since Carter would still be with baseball ...We shall see.
