Region 1

 

Hampton is first.

 

If Happy Valley wins, Happy Valley is second, West Greene is third, and South Greene is fourth

 

If Happy Valley loses, West Greene is second, South Greene is third, and Happy Valley is fourth.

Region 2

 

Sweetwater is first.

 

If Oliver Springs and Rockwood win, Oliver Springs is second, Rockwood is third, and Wartburg is fourth.

 

If Oliver Springs and Alcoa win, Oliver Springs is second, Wartburg is third, and Alcoa is fourth.

 

If Wartburg and Rockwood win, Wartburg is second, Oliver Springs is third, and Rockwood is fourth.

 

If Wartburg and Alcoa win, Wartburg is second, Oliver Springs is third, and Alcoa is forth.

Tyner is first.

 

Polk County is second.

 

Marion County vs. Sequatchie County winner is third; loser is fourth.

Region 4

 

Goodpasture is first.

 

David Lipscomb is second.

 

East Robertson vs. Westmoreland winner is third; loser is fourth.

Region 5

 

If Waverly wins, Lewis County is first, Waverly is second, Loretto is third, and Fairview is fourth.

 

If Fairview wins and Lewis County wins, Lewis County is first, Fairview is second, Waverly is third, and Loretto is fourth.

 

If Fairview wins and Loretto wins, Loretto is first, Lewis County is second, Fairview is third, and Waverly is forth.

Region 6

 

Huntingdon is first, Riverside is second, and McKenzie is third, unless McKenzie wins and Adamsville wins, in which case McKenzie is first, Huntingdon is second, and Riverside is third.

 

If Chester County wins, Chester County is fourth.

 

If Camden wins, Adamsville is fourth.

Region 7

 

Milan is first.

 

Union City is second.

 

Westview vs. Peabody winner is third; loser is fourth.

Region 8

 

Mitchell is first.

 

Carver is second; BTW is third, and Oakhaven is fourth; unless Oakhaven wins and Treadwell wins, in which case Oakhaven is second, Carver is third, and BTW is fourth.

Looks like Region 2 will sweep Region 1 again or at least win 3-4.

Region 2a will sweep 1A, except I think if Wartburg is fourth, Hampton will beat them.

Tigersfan, if you will recall. last season Wartburg traveled to Hampton and posted a 15-0 victory as the #4 seed.

If Wartburg is #4 this year and travels to Hampton I don't think that the 'Dogs will be the same team that you remember from last year. Wartburg had a good team last year but the 'Dogs helped them quite a bit with mistakes. We will have to wait and see though.

Deputy Dog, I have heard from several sources up that way that Hampton isn't quite as physical as they were last season. Wartburg is just now starting to play good, solid football.

Plus the fact that Wartburg returns dang near everybody from last season. Hampton is the only team from Region 1 that stands a chance against Rockwood, Wartburg or Alcoa.

From what I remember Wartburg looked pretty bad in that game also. I guess it was just one of those games where the defenses played well and made it look sloppy.

2A Bracket

Region 7 has won at least 3 first round matchups with Region 8 teams every year since we went to 1-4 in the region making the playoffs & 7AA sweeps 8AA more often than not.Class 2A football in Memphis is just extremely weak.The only chance 8AA has to win a game is Mitchell over Trenton Peabody & that might not happen.Region 7 will be:

 

1.Milan

2.Union City

3.Martin Westview

4.Trenton Peabody
