Sad day for Smith County

37-26 SC lead MC all time. Not as dominate as I would have thought by SC. And yes Maynard had a good record verse Macon, but he is the Cookeville coach so what's that matter.

We are talking recent history. I think the last 14 years is a fair assessment....or we can make it 10 years if you want. That is the relevance. Point being...SC's record is better than most...but there is no comparison with SC and Macon. Just saying.

And I got a nephew on Upperman's team so I hear a lot from there. They sure are talking up the team this year. Like 26 seniors with a couple of them move in's. And accourding to the nephew, got the D cordinator from Dekalb. Miller I think it is. Him and his dad ran the D at Dekalb the last couple seasons. And yes I seen the Conner York kid, I will vouch for him being top qb in district this year by far. Couple good lineman too. http://www.ncsasports.org/football-recruiting/tn/baxter/upperman-high-school/logan-key ; http://new.berecruited.com/athletes/953165

I have to stand up for MC just this once. Best 2 years of SC football, 88 with Dirkson and 2003, didn't MC beat them in '88 and twice 2003? I see that MC won the golf state in girls, second in guys. Played for title in bball. LA sent both boys and girls to state in bball. Cannon went to state in girls bball, Dekalb in baseball. SC putting all their eggs in one basket only to be one and done in football doesn't seem like its working out to well.

MC did not beat SC in 88 with Dirkson or in 89 either SC went 10-0 in the regular season both those years ! Dirkson won Mr. Football the 88 season !

It read’s as though it is the collaborative brain child of Thomas “The Ox of Sicily” Aquinas and John “Give Him 6!” Ward. Somewhere in this, the thoughtful mind will find, the exact future of Trousdale County Football. The Goat sez: Ox?!? Pffft. I can do stuff a dumb ole bull can do. I can take an “a” and I can take an “o” and I can do better and more of that bull stuff… in Latin. Diarrhoea Fecaes  The next coach of ole Snoball’s Yeller Jackets, ain’t on that list.
    • One school gets fined over $4,000 dollars because they had a baseball coach that gets ejected over a rule that is not in the rule book today (because no umpires in Tennessee called that rule when that coach was ejected). One school will get fined over $3,000 dollars because they had a football coach intentionally cheated. I hope TSSAA keeps a receipt over what schools they fined and how much, and for what reason. Meanwhile, if I'm a football coach at a school that has $3,000+ in the piggy bank, then hmmm.. No one knew Clinton was cheating intentionally until they went overboard and changed over 1,000 grades, and the word got out.

    • I just learned of this today and am very happy for Coach Peek. Excellent coach, better man.
