Ronald Jones was a/k/a Popeye Jones was a great high school player from Dresden. 6-8 and a rebounding machine. Jersey retired at Murray State and played in NBA for a number of years. 1988 Mr. Basketball. Incredible player.

Popeye has to be in the conversation for top 10. On a side note: his son is like a potential NHL hockey allstar, once he gets there of course, like what you would call a 5 star prospect. Some have pegged him as a future superstar at the NHL level.

I'm still trying to figure out who David Vaughn is? Never heard of him lol...Otis Howard is the best that ever came out of my alma mater (Oak Ridge) Or maybe Halston Lane.

David played at Whites Crk. He was obviously good but there are players playing now in high school better than he was. Kid from Dyer co better. Hes not even the best from mid tn. Ron Mercer & Alex Poythress were both better.

Penny has to be the best but i still cant believe no one has mentioned trey pearson. 51 points in the state tournament game and 50 in the tn/ga all star game. He had what it took to play pro ball.
