2 names that surfaced late Wednesday for the head coach job Nathan Farmer- Dobyns Bennett, grew up in Hixson, OC. The other is from Buford High in Ga. His last name is Brown, apparently was coach on first Ga. State football team 3 years ago. Rumor is he had Bill Curry call on his behalf.Dont know any more than that.

Silverspur the coach from Buford is Fyrone Davis, he is there RB coach, he is a great coach from what I am told from my friends in NW Ga. I have been also told he wants the job. I cannot find a coach from Dobyns named Nathen Farmer. Who ever gets it will be a top coach, you.ve got one of if not the best jobs in the city.

Again I'm just telling what I was told. I guess it was bad info on the names. But if what you say is true about the guy from Buford, that may be a good hire. We will see.

Buford has a great program. I think hiring a coach from that staff would only help the Owls. Good luck on the search.

Press conference / faculty meeting at 2:30p today to announce…… It’s in the theater. I think he is a great hire and should keep the owls in the mix for a long while.
