I have looked at Coalfield's returners and there is no reason they shouldn't win every game by no less than 40 points. They should ease thru the playoffs and plow over who ever shows up in Cookeville. With that level of size and experience returning they should go undefeated and size up their rings when they do team pics in August. If they don't win the whole thing easily then their coaching staff should all be fired and the town name should be changed to Loserfield.

gord wont be nowhere near as good but they will suprise a lot of folks. got good skill players back.got a good bunch of freshman coming up and they are working hard this off season

If Coalfield doesn't win the 1A championship this season then they never will win it. This years Coalfield team is much like the 2012 Gordonsville team. They are senior dominated, but have a few quality juniors as well. This should be the year if The Coalminers!

SP is the favorite

SP lost three very good football players off the 2012 team. Johnson, Stone and Hale were the leaders of that football team and wont be easily replaced. They all three were all state 2 way starters. Losing those three guys is basically losing 6 starters.

 

I would give Coalfield the nod for 1st in the east with SP sitting at 2 or 3.

Humboldt will be maybe the most talented team. They are always loaded with talent. However, the team never seems to gel and reach their potential. If Dan Bland had trouble accomplishing this, Jr. Reid probably will too. However, if I am wrong.... they will make alot of noise in 1A!!!!

Do they play Coalfield in the regular season? If so... they may beat them then.... but they won't see them in the playoffs.

Those teams are 3A. It has no bearing on the team to beat in 1A.
