Intensity22
Lol. Only in Memphis! No wonder they are considered the hot bed of high school ball players, they cheat like crazy!!! Dang , I thought Calipari left Memphis
UCSportsFan
I feel the punishment is just. I don't see Coach Hennings DRESSING this guy knowing he was ineligible. I say DRESSING this guy, because he wasn't a starter nor a real difference maker. I really hate this for the kids. Right and if you believe that you've got some beach front property in Arizona you want to sell. This MAN was 22 years old not 17 or 18. There is no way he didn't know how old he was, just another example of Memphis schools trying to win at all costs! What a disgrace to the game this coach and administration is! SweetScience
I'll give the coach the benefit of the doubt until proven guilty..i see plenty of hs kids that could pass for 23 easily.
1warrior
Just got a phone call and learned this, and I hope it is not true. The player is 22 and is married to a parent that has a son on the team. She registered him as her foster child in school with fake documents. Her son is fathered by a past MCS standout. If true this is going national.
1warrior
Galilee it has been confirmed that what you were told is true. Very unfortunate for the Ridgeway program.

This guy is married to one of the other players mother. No way the coach doesn't know that!this coach should be fired immediately and Ridgeway should be put on indefinite suspension. Btw1993
Slick Henning I guess all the recruit has caught up wit you the kids don't deserve that. You parents need to play close attention who you won't kids to play for. I really hate that at a time like this!!
deesnutz
Truly unfortunate but I can't say that I'm surprised! I've seen what I considered high school age kids playing in middle school in Memphis. So it starts early (the cheating)
DHSFB64
'devilfanatic' Agreed! Any team caught cheating like this should be banned for 2-4 years from playing in the post season tourney's. What about the good teams they've beaten with a 23 year old and those kids have to sit at home? There should be much more punishment than just one game forfeited. This coach should be banned from coaching he knew how old the kid was. Memphis schools are always doing something under handed to try and win. What are you guys teaching the kids down there? Win at all cost no matter what? What has TSSAA said about this? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I concur with you whole-heartly....Mempho schools sports are as bad as MCS itself ... very sad for the kids
