I like SA if they play like they did Thursday. They can't come out with a slow start though, especially Merriwether(sp?).

I think they're quicker than CPA though, and that will have to be what they use to their advantage. They need to force the issue to play up tempo, but make sure that Lindsey and Blackwell don't get easy slams the other way.

I will be cheering for JSS, but I think the refs will baby CPA. My point is that In CPA's state tourny games, there were 4 technical fouls on Mitchell, and two ridiculous intentional foul calls on Livingston Academy. What will they do tomorrow? Who knows.

I didn't see the second intentional but the first was horrible. McCoin had his hands all over the ball.

Your opinion. There was 3 on Mitchell. One I clearly saw was a push on Lindsey after he was fouled. Check the tape. The other two were for something that was said, so neither you or I know if they were legit, only the people on the floor know, so you are making too many assumptions. One on LA was a grab of the arms on Lindsey - not going for the ball - when he was going to dunk. The other one didn't look like an intentional to me but it was a foul, prevented a layup, and CPA didn't make the FT's so it didn't hurt LA. In both games you mentioned, CPA had as many fould as the opponents, so refs didn't baby anyone.

I watched CPA play yesterday and there is no doubt SS can win this game. I actually think SS has more talent but CPA has a lot more length. They have length at every position and that may cause SS problems. Would love to see SS bring home a gold ball for the city of Jackson. Really think a lot of Hicks and McNeal. Great young players!

I wish SS could win but I don't see it...

Really T-Mac? Howard loses for the same reason every year. Terrible guard play and just like last year the 6ft9 kid was making his presence known down low........second half, he comes out to the top of the key to guard someone and picks up stupid fouls. He not athletic and he has no quickness. Why would the coach let that happen? The team argued with each other etc. if South side would have pressed the first half, they would have blown Howard out. I'm here every year T-Mac. A good coach is a leader of men, but they don't respect him. It's time for a coaching change. Howard should be tired of district 14AA dismantling them every year. That's not just a coincidence. It's a fact.

Have to go with CPA in this one. JSS has all of the pieces (players) but they don't seem to always have it together. They were outplayed for 3 quarters yesterday. Barford impressed me. Lindsey has played very well this tourney - better than he had in the post season up to this point. As another poster said, officials have favored CPA thus far. That could be a difference today.

It aint how many is called, its how many should be called & who on. Bonds is the only guard that was allowed to ride & reach all day. JSS guards are quicker so that will be interesting. Several fouls yesterday should have been called on Lindsey but they would hit the scrub next to him. Look at who the fouls were on, the bench! Cpa is always looking for the big play, pump fakes do wonders & takes the length away. I beleive the way the game is called will make all the difference this game. If its staight up JSS wins.

Let's talk practical basketball. You seem knowledeable. I watched JSS play. They are not any quicker than CPA, are average shooters, and their inside game is all dribble penetration and dump offs. Do you really think their guards penetrate better than MCoin? I don't. He had trouble against CPA zone other than making 3's. So I don't see JSS having much more success. We'll see.
