Clay County Releases Head Coach

Wow, I hadn't been on here in a week or so and didn't even know Clay let go of their coach.

But they got an outstanding one in Barger. He'll be the best coach there in a long while with maybe the exception of Brown.

Coach Barger is a good one and Clay will probably have to be built from the ground up, but he will win some games with that schedule immediately.

Big bro cant hang. He is too old. There might be the possibility of one assistant. Dont know what teaching positions are open or if any will be open

Good hire...he may not be the best coach out there...but Clay county will improve with him cracking the whips.

Barger will do a great job at Clay County. We had the opportunity to play his Cannon County team in a bowl game. It was one of the most exciting games I have ever been involved in as a player or coach. Final score was 52-48 I believe. Something close to that. His team was very sound and you could tell that fundamentals were stressed in his program. He had average players that played their tails off. He and his coaches coached with passion as well. I will be keeping up with Clay in the future. Good luck Coach Barger.

Coach Barger will do well. Best of luck to him in his new postion. I know when I was at Watertown, they always had big kids who played hard, very physical youngsters.
