Actually, Childress implemented it by have the 2 best teams in 1a play in the 2nd round at least from the east.

I will chime in here. SP is 4-4 in championship games since 1985. They were 1-1 before that time. 5 golds and 5 silver balls. I have to agree the silver balls are probably considered a failure. Legit and I know all too well about silver don't we big guy? It is what it is though.

Yes, I think you are right. The two best teams had to play in the second round and since SP didn't win the game..... Yes, it was a failure losing early.
