Mo. East v. Sevier Co.

With West looking bad and Jeff. Co. not looking to good this week it looks like this game may have some IMAC implications. Can the Canes get it done this year or is SC still on another level.

West will be fine, they ran into a hungry and talented Greeneville team, and Jeff actually looked pretty good to me. SC should have their way with East in this game, I don't see East beating Jeff or West.

I also believe the bears will have their way with the canes. The canes make to many mistakes and wont be able to defend Mannings passes. I think the only team standing in SC's way is Maryville.

Morristown East has a great running back but I noticed that he holds the football like a loaf of bread. If you hit him hard he will fumble it every time, the Govs didn't capitalize on that as much as they should have. Mo east's rb needs to hold on to the football if they are going to have a chance in this game. I don't see mo east winning but then again I say the same thing about Jeff county and they always play sevier county tough. I still can't figure that one out.

Man, of all games I forgot about DB. They always play SC tough and they are usually very good. I have heard that they do lack some power this year. 91, you are right, the RB for MoEast is quick and can read the holes. If they can keep Manning contained, cover the deep ball, and create some turnovers, it could make for a good game.

Thanks choctaw. I closed my eyes after the 1st minute and I think a few tears came to my eyes. Haha. I kniw they are really talented and well coached. Just hoping for a miracle.

Covering the deep ball sounds great. Then just leave 6 in the box for the 2 running backs and manning that are always a step away. Can't wait to see how that works out for the Canes. Go Neers

You only need 2 dbs to cover the deep ball. Don't let the receivers get behind them. Its just that their good on the slants and crossing routes. They also get a lot of yards on swing pass after the catch.

The Bears also have a running game this year that they've not had in quite some time.  I like the Bears by a comfortable margin, but hey, it's a "homer" pick, I always like the Bears!  I see them only losing to Maryville this year, and then to Maryville again in the 3rd round.  They are very talented, but I don't think they can compete with Maryville's size. I was shocked when I watched the highlights of the Alcoa game.  Thems some big Rebels!  But, like Preacher Walker used to say if you keep the faith, fight the good fight, and finish the race, who knows, we may sneak up on em!

You are correct, SC is very talented and should be able to beat us if they play well.  But I was looking at their schedule and iis brutal over the next four weeks so maybe they are over looking us and we can sneak up on them.  Probably not but maybe, just maybe.
