how can a sophomore be underrated? unless the guy has played his 8th and 9th grade years... heck juniors can be underrated but a sophomore has done enough to even be rated, much less underrated. Let your play determine your rating,not your mouth!

Rich Froning is about 5'5 bench's 185 pounds and is a machine one of the best shortstops i have ever played with. Rich has a great glove and makes tough plays easy!!!!!!

who is the best soph no one has heard of? easy kyle hicks of wilson central. 2b/ss who bats left. he is easily one of the fastest players in the state. also proabey pound for pound one of the strongest.

Brian Morris of Tullahoma will probably start at SS. He is the son of Motlow St. asst. coach Rickey Morris and he knows the game.

Tullahoma is blessed with a good balanced sophmore class. Ben Darlington, Jack Casteel, Brady Goodman and Jacob Haywood to name a few. Throw Morris in the mix and it is hard to pick the "best". Darlington-great glove, solid bat; Casteel-better than average glove, great bat; Goodman- great arm, good power, fast; Haywood-good speed, good bat, great catcher; Morris-gun for an arm, good glove. I have heard these guys talk in my back yard-they all know the game.

Columbia has a few underrated sophmores who you will all have heard of by this time next year more than likely. Catcher Jay Howard, OF/IF Michael Kinnard and IF/P David Rodriguez. All three have great arms and have an amazing work ethic who show up almost everyday to practices giving 110%.Howard is great behind the plate. Kinnard is a great addition to the Lions and Rodriguez will eventually make a name for himself on the mound. Lifting 185 isn't much by the way if you didn't know that, still trying to figure out why you'd put that,but anyhow all three of these guys are at 200 or better.

Yes, Rich Froning from Cookeville is a beast. The kid works harder than most upperclassmen and can play better. He was even diving for groundballs in the parking lot. He plays great defense and has improved his hitting in the off-season.
