FLUKE! THAT'S FUNNY LEWIS WAS AHEAD BY 2TDS FOR MOST OF THE SECOND HALF! You people from Fairview just can't let it go can! Its over! I've never heard of so much excuses being made! WE HAD 5 TURNOVERS,THE REFS CALLED TO MANY PENALTYS, LEWIS CO PLAYED GOOD AND WE PLAYED BAD!

 

In the opinion of the AP voters, Fairview is a better football team. That doesn't mean its true alltime. Maybe its a conspiracy!

like I said before maybe the voters have been on COACHT and seen where you and everybody from Fairview talking about how ya'll didn't play good and Lewis Co. players hit to hard and made your backs fumble 3 times and the REF'S threw flaggs when your players cut Lewis players!

I would venture to say that Murphy Fair may have had an opinion on it. I'm sure the writers knew he went to that game.

I guess you're right! Murphy Fair did have an opinion on the game, he now has Lewis Co in his top 5 and Fairview  is not!

Understood. AP polls are opinion driven though and I'm sure it's of "popular opinion" that the outcome of that game was somewhat of a fluke considering the penalties and turnovers. I know the Lewis faithful will need blood pressure medication after reading that but that's just how it is otherwise they'd have them ranked over Fairview.

 

I'm not defending one way or the other. As far as anyone knows, Fairview could make the same mistakes and Lewis could make the same playa again if they played again. The bottom line is they played and Lewis won. Which is reflected in the standings. Not to be confused with rankings. Which are meaningless at the end of the day.

 

Btw BPM, I like your bulldogs and fans too. There's not a team out there I'd rather get beat 38-20 at home by. :D

38-20.... Does have a nice ring to it, doesn't it!!! :thumb:

      One final thought. Coach Keith claims he was not aware of the player's failing grades. I won't comment on that, just to say this, IF he did not, whose job was it to see that this kid did not play ball at CHS? That person should be looking for a job and they might be, I don't know.

      They have fired the principal, 2 teachers, at least 1 counsellor and 1 coach so far. I don't see it from my view in Oak Ridge as a coach thing, he  was just implicated in asking 1 teacher to  fix 1 kid's grades.   In our local media(Clinton and Oak Ridge)the principal is who is the originator and pusher of the fraud. The others are peripheral. The coach isn't even the big story, just here on a sports site.  The media view is the principal did it to cause CHS to be seen as excellent by the state. He committed fraud to do that so he might spend a little time in jail IF that is valid.

      And from coach himself, he wasn’t told he was let go because of the ineligible player.    that’s just what the schools needed to happen to fit their bull

      Wish it was made clear before a coach gets let go or not retained instead of being sold as the reason he was in trouble. I was told the kids who got grades changed, 97% or better were non athletes but the coach is taking all the heat so the schools can pretend it wasn’t their job to know. heck, what do you think could happen when you hire husband and wife as head principal and head guidance….   that’s not being said though…

      Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe.  Last time I came up there to watch my pirates one of those guys in that pickup trucks flattened the tires on the lawnmower.  This is payback.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
