I remember reading on here few years back about South Gibson and how it would hurt Milan. Is this really Legit or just pot stirring.

Just pot stirring.  Milan had an amazingly unfortunate year that was the perfect storm of poor circumstances.  The combination of 4-5 season ending injuries to starters throughout the year, 3 starters getting suspended for half the year and the loss of an amazing amount of senior and talent that graduated the prior year and you have what happened to Milan this year.  No excuses.... it is what it is.  Great thing about this year is that the most of the kids that were starting were sophomores and juniors.  The freshman team pretty much destroyed everyone they played and several of the starters that we were missing will be back next year.  Milan is down but not for long!!!  This years freshman class is one of the most talented that I have ever seen in Milan, including my senior year when we were state champs.  When they are seniors.... they should be scary good!!!

    • You wanna talk about zoned for Bearden.  Lol.  I don't think so.  But my point was who can blame a kid for not wanting to be in a private school.  Nobody is zoned for a private school, it's a free country right?
    • Great win for the Pirates. State Tourney bound !
    • You're talking about the running back, right? I don’t believe he was zoned for west, but there were numerous players that came from TKA a few years ago and still are. I’m sure some are, but the majority aren’t.
    • Gratitude abounds for Blake Satterfield, whose five-year tenure as the head coach and exemplary ambassador for Trousdale County and its educational system has left an indelible mark. His strategic leadership during playoff seasons was nothing short of remarkable. Anticipating that his future endeavors will be equally impressive.  Perhaps the board members will refrain from undermining the incoming coach as they did in Blake's case.
    • Yeah that's true, I was talking more about football.  If you go to a TKA game, there's nobody there.  The only people there are the parents of cheer and parents of players.    The kid that left and came to West was zoned for West and decided to quit private and go public school.  He won two state championships at West, so hard to blame him there.
