Mtp will be super athletic as always if they get someone to handle the point they will be in the mix. Hampshire will have a great record coming into district due to very soft scheduling . Beating up on the lower level home school teams and the weaker ones in MTAC.. Santa Fe could surprise some ppl they lost Clanton but have a BIG team coming back. But I think as everyone else does every team in both sides of region will be chasing CA.

I don't know much about the other district, but I know CA will be the team we are all looking up to this year. They are reel quick and have a big post. I think Mt Pleasant should be ok cause they are athletic as all get out. After those two, the rest are pretty good. The Cully boys will be alright I think considering what has changed, and Richland is due for a drop off. Santa Fe will be about middle of the pack, and Cornersville will be better again. Hampshire has a couple of ballers, but coaches be talkin about how they got different rules they go by than anyone else. I don't know nothin bout cupcake schedule, guess they gotta get wins somewhere, lol. With coaching changes at 3 schools, does anyone have an opinion on what to look for from them, I know Cully is in good shape.

Top dog will be cwood

I watched Cwood Saturday night and plan to go back for the game tonight between Cwood & Richland.  Cwood looked really good for this early in the season.  They scored 34 points in the 1st period and Riverside was not sloppy with 18.  Tucker Roberson scored 15 points & had 5 assist in the 1st period alone.  He was unstoppable in the first period and had something like 23 or 24 for the game.  Cwood is going to make some big noise this year mark it down.

Is Robertson #5 from last year? My boys from Richland will have their hands full tonite.. Good measuring stick game only 3 games in to season.. Good luck raiders...

That is Robertson.  Handles the ball very well and shoots the 3 ball.  He played summer ball with your Richland point guard Jacob Farrar.

    • What you are saying is true about high school athletics being a privilege and not a right, but NO ONE ever knows what will happen if a case goes before a jury.  Again, I have been in a couple of jury rooms and it's always a little crazy.  That is why my prediction is you will see a settlement before the case goes to trial.
    • What rules does everyone not operate by?
    • So you want a have and have not split? Sound like the perfect ramp to elitism. Tell those rural kids that they'll never be able to compete with those urban kids. They're not good enough right? Or we could just do what travel baseball does and have tournaments every weekend and give kids big fake rings for winning a few games. The suburban public schools are typically the ones with more funds. Urban and rural schools have more in common in finances than they do with rural schools. I've taught and coached in all of it. The difference is attitude. But if you're jsut going to say you can't compete because you don't have the money then that's an excuse. Especially in basketball. The balls are the same size, the rims are the same height and size. The ball dribbles the same in some rural gym in mountains as it does in the FedEx forum. Charters come and go like a fart in the wind. They are no real threat to anyone. Magnets could be but rarely do they win either. It just hasn't been seen in Tennessee.
    • That’s a good line. Wins would be Soddy, Howard, and Ooltewah. Maybe East Ham again or Knox Central. Tyner maybe but being that late in the year it’s hard to say. I don’t think we get by Red Bank this year.    Rhea could be anywhere from 2-8 to 6-4.
    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
