This thread kills me. Woodby30 I'll take the other side of your arguement. I would say 90% of Devil fans are also Cyclone fans. We will root for you in the playoffs in any game you aren't across the field from us.

Speaking to the long time stats, I thought it was in favor of E'town by more than 1 game. I can personally remember losing to the Cyclones in a game we should have won. They just wanted it more than we did at the end. When I say we, I mean we because I was on the field and compeletely gassed at the end.

Some of the fans may be taking you Cyclones lightly but I can promise you the coaches and players are not. Grainger is a given but after that every week is championship week.

Great post and some of those games in the late 90's were great games.

I believe you are right. greenevillefootball.com has the record through 2008 at 29-36-2.

I will agree with rll, when I played Betsy was a tough competitor but you and I agree that these last couple of devils team hasn't been the same when we played. I remembered when I played all of us had to go both ways, this team may have two or three at max that makes a big difference. But for all you Betsy fans I'm just given you all a hard time cause that's just who I am (full of ####) but I wish you all the best Friday

Good luck this week to the Devils hope it's safe and injury free! I'm pulling for you all to win! See you on next weeks thread

Thanks and good luck to Betsy as well. Great win over South. One advantage Betsy has is that they have had a couple of close games. We really haven't been challenged and when it does hopefully we respond. When you haven't faced adversity and then it finally happens it will test your character. East TN is no doubt well represented with three quality teams from our area.

    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
