Yes the Maryville august date has been for a while but they just added the spring scrimmage from what I understand but have not confirmed

I was just thinking today how my SR class put out 5 D1 players. Mike Gipson-Florida Bohanon-Bama Mcaddley-Bama John Dickens-Air Force and Brad Redmond-Furman......And that is not to mention others I may not be aware of. Hard to believe we had teams with that much talent at one time. Wonder if we can ever get back to those days?

i doubt it. But you don't need D1 athletes to have a great team.. Maryville proves that every year.

You may not need D1 players to have a great team.. But it sure does make a difference.., And at Maryville- there is no staff that comes close to GQ's.

Like BR said they have a little tiny bit of help at the coaching staff positions lol....GQ may have won the National Title at OR with some of the talent we had in the mid 90's lol

I actually prefer to talk about football issues year around but bladerunner has other ideas. LOL...and I can engage in those discussions or maybe I won't. That's why I really don't get the disappearance of the Nole. He can talk about whatever he wants and just disregard the comments or responses he chooses to.

I think that I stick pretty close to football. It just may not be OR football.  But Football is where most of my topics start. That is where they start anyway. Emmit Smith for example if the Florida State crimiNoles.
