This is what we live for in high school football. A great match up between two great terms. Both are physical. Both have athletes. This game will come down to execution and discipline. The Vikings have a chip on their shoulders frombthe last time these two teams played. The Tornadoes have simply gotten better at what they do. Either way it's gonna take a colossal efforts from both teams to come out on top. It will be aclassic. For UC to win they must Compete be Physical and have no fumbles. GO TORNADOES

Yes, it will be a great game but the Vikings must make the tornadoes earn every TD & not give them easy scores! McLilly is running with a attitude as well as Brown, Watson & Montague, no turn overs & play displine football. Everybody picked Dresden to win but the Vikings showed up & played football, defense bent but didn't break!! Hate I want be able to be at game but I will be cheering for Vikings long distance!!!

I know that we played Bruceton last night and I know that our game was not the quality of competition that the Vikings and Lions game was. But...... I was very impressed with the level of play our boys exhibited. We scored 61 points. I can't remember the last time that happened, if ever. I am particularly impressed with the play of our QB. His reads were spot on all night and Bruceton was in a constant adjustment mode. Each time they adjusted so did the offense. It was encouraging to see this.

I mention this because of when it began. The final drive of the last time Humboldt and Union City played. Walton put this team on his back and it seemed like someone flipped the switch. He understands how to run this offense now and has been huge in every game since then. I know Humboldt aint Bruceton and we will have to be even better than we were last night to come away with a victory. I look forward to a hard fought defensive battle between these two teams. I also exoect the winner of this game to go to the title game in Dec. UC just do what you do. Compete, Play Physical and No Stinking Fumbles. Go Tornadoes.

last time I remember that many points was when I played I think it was my junior year we played Halls and we put up 72 points in that game. The halftime score was 50-0.

Yeah I remember that now. That was Bowlings first year as Head Coach. Coltin Speed was Qb and we moved Josh Nicks to FB. That team was the beginning of our championship run. If we get past Humboldt this week we could make another run at it. We have a huge challenge in front of us even after this week. We must play focused and dig deeper than we have all season.

Given your extensive coverage of football and the apparent breadth of your expertise, I am inclined to seek your esteemed opinion on the matter: who, in your estimation, emerges as the favored candidate? Furthermore, since the mantle of head coach has been vacated, upon whom would you bestow the mantle of leadership?
    • Shoulders dad graduated for TC, and Kyle began his coaching career early on at TC although he wasn't there long. Shoulders would be a homerun, but don't see him leaving Macon anytime soon.

    • Perhaps it is within the realm of possibility that the comprehension of my discourse, both by yourself and others, may be circumscribed by the boundaries of intellectual acumen. Might one contemplate this notion from such a perspective? Allow me to clarify that my intent does not lean towards disparagement, save for instances where provocation is directed towards myself or the esteemed troupe of the Trousdale County Yellow Jackets who proudly find domicile upon the hallowed grounds of CREEKBANK. In contemplation of the candidates under discussion, it is conjectured that individuals such as Gregory, Woodmore, Vetetoe, Eden, Hackett, and Cothron may emerge as contenders. Regrettably, it is deemed improbable that Shoulders shall express interest in this pursuit. Speculation arises regarding the potential candidacy of BJ West, albeit the implications of familial ties with Lafayette introduce complexities to such a scenario. The enigma of Dr. Clint's deliberations looms large, fraught with the weight of a formidable decision yet to be made.
    • My kind sir, you seem to be lost within the time space continuum having traveled from the 16th Century or you aspire to hide your true intelligence by masking your language with that of the great playwright. You know good and well, your commentary takes your fellow comrades hours to decipher what you are really saying and most of them are likely left questioning whether you have insulted them or find them to be in your favor. I offer you some advice. In my travels through this area of the country, it is best to speak slow and with a twang and you don't annunciate  words to their fullest. Your points will be clear then!  Any names been mentioned around town as Actual Applicants to this job? Seen several post mentioning individuals, but I haven't heard of any of them except for Shoulders. Does he have ties to TC?  Have amy of the other names mentioned ever been in the HC position before?
