I don't think fans realize that as a requirement for TSSAA the officials have to be from a neutral district/division. Those weren't Adamsville refs they just blew a big call. Safety makes a play on the ball and actually swats it down and here comes the flag.

Point being, Eagleville won't havea ref advantage just because the game is there. They will be neutral refs. It's a rule.

Yep that crew was from upper middle Tennessee. I know alot has been said about a pi call. But if you watch it on film you see the defender get there early as in before tge ball. tough call but tge bigger blunder was when they didnt know what down it was.

Forrest fought to the end and have nothing to be ashamed about. they played hard.

Thank you for your kind words about our fans We take great pride Iin running a first class program.

THANK YOU FOR THE KIND WORDS REGARDING #4 HE IS A LEADER ON AND OFF THE FIELD AND HE SAID THAT ADAMSVILLE PLAYERS AND COACHING STAFF WHERE THE NICEST HE HAD FACED ALL YEAR. I THINK GOING SOMEWHERE AND PLAYING SOMEONE THAT DOESN'T REALLY KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT YOU THAT YOUR TRUE CHARACTER SHOWS. UNFORTUNATELY FOR #4 THAT WAS HIS LAST GAME HE WENT OUT FIGHTING HARD BUT HE IS A SR. THANK YOU ADAMSVILLE FOR THE GREAT HOSPITALITY!!!GOOD LUCK.

Agreed on #4 and the entire senior class. Great group of guys.

I disagree on the PI call. Those refs didn't have the benefit of replay. Our kid made a play on the ball. A terrific one. That call isn't made at any other level. I also disagree that a confusion on the down was more egregious. :)

But I clearly know who the better team was. The more I think about it, this is a great opportunity in Forrest's nabe to see two great teams hit it. I don't even think I will cheer. Just enjoy.

And you're welcome on the fan compliment. I spoke to a couple of Adamsville guys at halftime who had kids on the team, they asked me about my kid too. Just real nice guys. Even gave us credit for being a tough out. In the end we all love our kids our towns and our sport.

I really don't need your opinion as to whether it's a good reason or not. I know the Adamsville program pretty well and Eagleville is about to get to know it. I picked Adamsville by 10 because of Adamsville not because of anything negative toward Eagleville.

No I'm sure you don't but since you put your opinion out there I have a right to mine as well. Should be a good game.

That will hopefully change.

As for #4, he did what was asked of him and he did it well. It was a power running offense behind #11, #9 (whom Adamsville did not see) that huge success, especially in 4th quarters. Obviously Adamsville did a great job.

One thing to think about THIS game, I don't believe Eagleville is a very good come from behind team. Can someone speak to this? If Adamsville gets a 10-14 pt lead, how does Eagleville respond?

Eagleville played from behind 8 weeks ago and lost that game by 3 pts.  to a team with one of the better passing qb's in the state.   Most of their other games they never were behind so you really can't say if they are good or bad when trailing.

As good as Hale is (2,000 yds rushing) and Ryan Jordan's arms is, the real strength of this team lies with the offensive and defensive lines.  The O line has given Hale the openings to get into open field where he is incredibly hard to tackle and the protection for Jordan to get the ball to his recievers.  Jordan's fastball is very good.  The D line has consistently won battles upfront and has made it hard to run or for qb's to have the time to get the ball downfield to recievers.

I look for it to be a close game with Eagleville winning.

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
