wow! great showing for van buren! jackson won by 7. van buren was up at the half. in another year or 2 when a couple of those 8th graders get with dodson and bouldin they gonna be tough.

VanBuren was down 14 at the half i believe and the game was never in doubt. JC played zone defense, did not press the entire second half, and i'm not sure they even ran a play just very vanilla. VanBuren played hard and really liked the effort they gave all game long. Bouldin girl was impressive and she is a real talent. I liked the way she played defense most of all, but she was equally good on offense. Can't believe White Co. hasn't tried to get her to come down the mountain.

Van Buren played a good game with good effort.  Quarter scores were 1st quarter JC 19 - VB 14; 2nd JC 36 - VB 25; 3rd JC 50 - VB 35; 4th JC 59 - VB 52.  Yes JC ran about 4 different offensive plays during the game, no JC didn't press in the 2nd half, but they were not successful with their press in the first half.  Jim Brown seemed concerned in the fourth quarter when he took a time out and gave his players a good chewing.  Coe fouled out in the fourth quarter, how often does that happen?  VB may not be on everyone's radar, but they can make waves. They have the potential and when and if each player gets on their top game it could be a bad day for any team.  VB is a young team with only 1 senior and 2 juniors on the team.  Wouldn't say its a team to take for granted.

Maybe they don't believe in recruiting.

I don't recall Coe ever fouling out, and I have seen her play 100+ games.

    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
