The weight room has been busy but its getting ready to start ROCK'N!!!

A lot of young bodies to make stronger and faster...

Many of the players realized the importance of training and became better athletes throughout the season.

I think the play of this year's team proved to all that these coaches have the "know how" when it comes building hard, strong, fast athletes.

It takes A LOT of dedication, discipline and heart to stay with these workouts...It's also important to set goals and look ahead to what you WANT to be.

If Chambers, Johnson, Robinson, Holtsclaw, Cole and a couple of the incoming Freshmen have the winter I think they will,  they'll fill the missing pieces...add them to the talent already in place along with the return of LJ and this should be one good FB team.

I hope the varsity players will be examples to these younger players and push each other to excel.

A dominant 2014 season starts NOW! GO DOGS!!!!

Sounds like the kids and coaches are committed.I like whats going on.

YEP!

Ive got my eye on a few of these fellers...waiting to see what the program does for them...One of those is B Johnson...He could be a BEAST on D if he has a good winter and spring

I've got my eye on a slew of um, we really don't have much fluff. With the right work ethic alot of new names could be popping up.This training does alot more than make you bigger stronger and faster, it makes you mentally and phyically TOUGH. You can't play football without those 2 elements.

If I were to single out 1 kid, it would be J Whiltshire, this kid could be an absolute beast. I'm not sure he understands his POTENTIAL.He's a Johnathon Lyons type.

This program will either make em or break em...Im going with make em....As you said, not much fluff nor cream puffs in the lot...I'll agree with you about Wiltshire on the O side...I hope Wiltshire comes with it...He's got great hands and we need him!

On the D side, Im telln ya, Johnson could be a terror (to single out one kid).....But Im pretty high on the whole bunch of em.

I agree about Johnson and I have no doubt that he will work.Shoot as far as that goes,,we have very few that I would be concerned about.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
