Another coaching opening in Knox County

Shinlever will name himself at BHS, Mcmillan to Carter, and a former Oak Ridge coach to Central.  As for Powell, who knows.  But did hear Lamar Brown turned it down.

Heres what I know, Shinlever is not on the comittee at Bearden due to the fact that he is a candidate so he will have 0 say in who the next coach is...McMillan to Carter I believe is correct. Guy that worked on Blades staff at Oak Ridge while Goins was principal there will be Central coach & you are correct on Powell as well.

My mistake response was meant for the Powell head coaching position. IMO guy from Chattanooga will be the next head coach at Powell. Hope this clears things up.

Here is the scoop at BHS.  Scotty from West is #1. He likes the fieldhouse and thinks he can get some of that big W. Knox money. Principle can sell him to the press. Scott must have gone back on his saying that he has stuck with West through thick and thin when West was down and out. Where is the loyality to good ole West High. Bearden people will eat him alive. Maybe he thinks all of this talent that West has had is drying up. He has rode the best talent in Knox Co. for over 15 years, and now he wants to get the payoff at BHS. Or maybe he is just trying to get more money out of the new West money, which used to be the old Bearden money, thanks to Dan Murphy and Karen Carson.

 

#2 is Loudon HC. Principle can sell him since Powell has hired Allen. Can Loudon HC take the heat when all the players decide to play something else, go somewhere else, or just not play and he puts up the same results as he has the past few years?

Cummings will not leave West, but Loudon HC might get the job. If he does then there is really no sense in putting on a show & making it appear that they are really doing a search.

Correct about the committee. Principle would love to hire a guy from West. Would be a slap in the face to all the old Bearden people. But all the old Bearden people are now the new West people? Just really matters how much Scott likes that fieldhouse and if he can stand to be run off by the new Bearden people.

 

Principle would really like to hire the Loudon HC, but Scott would be a better sell with his record at West.  Loudon guy would work, but Scott would be better. Kind of like if the Vandy coach came to UT. cAn  yOu fIGuRe iT oUt
