GCPioneer
I agree with GCPioneer, Obion Co is not that good. Let me give you those 16 wins: Humboldt 2x, Haywood 2x, Ripley 2x, Brighton, South Side, Madison, Bolivar not to knock on Obion Co. but to give credit to what Kaitlin Dudley is doing at Crockett Co.... She had 3-4 players quit a few days ago before the Obion/Crockett game. She went into the game with 6 players and was able to knock off Obion Co. She's doing great things over in Alamo! Cyclone1978
Elizabethton has a very talented team led by 2 soph identical twins and a very good bench to compliment the starting 5. Len Dugger is a great basketball coach and would have been a great catch for any college program. GO CYCLONES!
copenoc
I believe UC will cut the nets down this year..I'm not knocking JC OR CR AT ALL. The Cole girl is fantastic and thry have uc number. I just think UC is wayyy to big and physical. .The return of Amber Fair will be huge for the Tornadoes ..I think that will puy thrm over the top

CoachD33
... But you know they could win all three classes lol Would have a shot a AA for sure, AAA is iffy. I agree with your earlier comment about Westview having a shot to get back to 'boro. Tough pre-Christmas schedule is paying dividends and role players are stepping up. Will have a tough one at Dyersburg tomorrow night but it should be a preview of district title game for February.

We have a tough matchup tomorrow night @ Dyersburg. They have a very solid team and several that can score. We had two girls transfer in, but I don't know if they can actually play this year or not. My sister's niece is on the team and she says both of them are good ballplayers and are learning. It seems the younger girls are stepping up and we are getting good quality minutes on the floor. We've been on a shooting spree lately and hope it continues. It's one of those years and whoever is "hot" at tourney time can make it. It'll be here before you know it
etownsparky
Interesting. Elizabethton is coming off possibly their most impressive performance of the year against Sullivan South and drop in this week's rankings. Regardless, I was surprised by the original No. 1 ranking so no matter. Hopefully, these girls can make a run at the end of the year when this will all be sorted out anyways. volfan777
All the teams I expected, thoughts from the CoachT faithful? Class AA 1. Elizabethton 2. Grainger 3. Cannon County 4. Dyersburg 5. Creek Wood 6. Fulton 7. Gatlinburg-Pittman 8. Lexington 9. Obion County 10. Smith County -Fulton is now in third place in their district behind 2nd place Gatlinburg-Pittman and first place Pigeon Forge losing to PF by double digits last week. Pigeon Forge went 3 weeks with 2 of their top three players hurt at the same time but have both girls back now and their COACH is always a difference maker. I don't know where they should be ranked, but I don't see the other teams from their district being above them without having beaten them. GP may win tomorrow night to share first place but both teams have beaten Fulton. PF is also the only girls program from that district that has made the state tournament in the last 5 years. You are right GP and PF have began to seperate themselves from Fulton and the AP should reflect that but as we know the AP rankings sometimes are hard understand. If you look like the AP though closely you can see that the AP voters have a large gap between the 6th ranked GP and 7th ranked teams (Smith Co. & Fulton). The top 3 teams are only seperated by a total of 4 points. The next 3 (4-6) spots are seperated by 19 total points. Then a gap of almost 40 points between 6th & 7th.
