NO LOVE FOR VONN BELL?

Recommended Posts

Chattanooga's own Vonn Bell....a true freshmen at Ohio State University got no love from his home town for his performance and his first start in the Orange Bowl on last Friday night IMO....unless I missed something....He was a highly touted 5 star athlete that had offers from every major school including Tennessee....who jumped on board a little too late but has proved that given the chance he could be an elite athlete.....I like for all athletes from this area to be recognized for their accomplishments whether it be a big or small school....they are representing this city.....we sure hear about them when they get in trouble.....http://www.cleveland.com/osu/index.ssf/2014/01/finally_given_a_chance_orange.html Congrats Vonn....we have only seen a glimpse of the future :flower:

Maybe not on these boards because he played for a North Georgia School.  I always heard he lived in Ooltewah but his mom worked for the Walker County School System which allowed him to play there.   I noticed a lot of Tennessee Talent in the bowl games.  In the National Championship game for  FSU the starting safety number 13 a true freshmen is from Smyrna, TN and played a at BA.  The QB from Pitt and a few more.

And don't forget the punter at Central Florida is from "Dub V" (Walker Valley). Had a good performance in their Fiesta bowl game win against Baylor.

Thats exactly what I'm saying sir....Ramsey of FSU is from the Nashville area and was featured in the Nashville area and the other one is from Cleveland....and there was an article in TFP about Pitt and Voytik

    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
