Somebody with some background in this area please put your thoughts on this region, such as team qualities and player rankings. Also, who is projected to win District 3A? I think it's a tossup between Midway and Greenback, despite Midway's poor showing last year.

Davis is easily 6/8 this year and starting to dominate. Add Gallaher and the other footballers and the Tigers will be hard to beat. Harriman has a lot of talent but a new coach. Could end up competing. Cosby and Greenback are similar in that neither have a lot of size but both have players that can score at will(McGaha/Havens)and good role players. Oneida is very young with a new coach also. Don't know much about the others....

I gotta agree with Chill's top 5. District 3A will be between Cosby and Greenback. Cosby's 1st 3 road games are

at Oneida, Harriman & Unaka (And Rockwood soon after those).

So we'll be tested by some good teams early.

The Eagles should not have any problems scoring this year but it will be interesting seeing how we match up with

"big men". But the district and region tournaments are at

Midway this year and that's always an advantage.

Unless the big players can get the ball, they won't score. Cosby has the best defense of the teams listed. They will deny the ball. Rockwood and Harriman's point guards are the key. If they can move the ball, they will have a chance. Greenback was maybe the better team last year, started off well, but did not have the experience to finish like Cosby has. Cosby also plays a tougher schedule usually than Rockwood and Harriman. It will be interesting.
