If you are talking about D2, I think the first round is blank for the top seeds to make room for the winner of the “wrestle ins†that are new this year.  Hoping this qualifier in D2 is a one-and-done.

Apparently he had a cold sore and the refs wouldn't let him wrestle.

There was Doctor at the weight ins so the refs had nothing to do with the decision.

The story I was told by someone in the weigh ins was the ref told him he could not wrestle with the cold sore. He asked the ref if he could go get a dr note and they said no, you should've brought it in with you to begin with.

Cannot leave weigh in area and you must have doc note with you at weigh ins.

 

The doc note is to show the ref that the condition has been diagnosed and has been treated for so long and the condition is no longer contagious. How could he get a doc not in a matter of minutes providing all of that info? Especially proving that it had been treated for so many days and now cleared??

 

It's sad news that they weren't prepared. It's not much different than making weight though.

it wouldnt neccesarily have to say it has been treated. If it wasnt a communicable disease then the note would only have to say that and indicate the area in question. Mat burns, chapped lips, scrapes, ectt.. have all been mistaken for potential hazards. This is a sad and unfotunate event for Tyler. I hate it for him and his family.
